The Role

SHAPE THE FUTURE OF MOBILITY FROM DAY ONE

This position is apart of our Connection Systems Segment in our Engineered Components Group.

Job Description:

This is an exciting, high-impact opportunity to help shape the course of one of the world’s leading technology company’s expansion from automotive to other market areas. The company is focusing on accelerating growth in non-automotive, or adjacent markets, including Industrial, Robotics, Commercial Vehicles, Construction, Agriculture, Commercial Aerospace, Space, and Energy. This role will be responsible for expanding growth into the Energy Markets, such as battery energy storage and backup and solar.

Key job responsibilities for this role include:

  • Build and maintain foundational market analyses outlining the key customers, competitors, products and market size in the energy market space.
  • Track and improve energy market sales, bookings, and profitability trends by customer, market, and product lines
  • Lead Sales, Engineering, Product Line, and Distribution teams in prioritizing key energy market opportunities
  • Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Product Line, Marketing, and Distribution teams in identifying which of our current automotive products best match energy market customer needs to promote growth
  • Own new product / technology roadmap and collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Product Line, Marketing, and Distribution teams in evaluating and recommending what additional portfolio/products are needed to increase our sales in energy markets
  • Lead business case development for new product portfolio
  • Collaborate with Corporate Strategy and M&A teams on evaluating and recommending potential inorganic growth opportunities in the energy market space
  • Develop Market models (TAM) including size, growth, and market share – in collaboration with the Corporate Strategy team
  • Develop competitor benchmarking including products and market share
  • Scanning and collation of market intelligence (M&A, product launches, new market entrants, footprint investments, etc.)
  • Support material preparation for internal business reviews
  • Provide coaching, guidance, mentorship to working team members

Key Measurements

  • Energy market sales, bookings, and profitability growth
  • Market Strategy and Product Roadmap for energy markets

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in engineering or business related
  • 5+ years of experience in areas relevant for our business e.g. products like wire harness and connectors and energy end markets such as battery energy storage/backup or solar
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in solving complex business problems – includes structuring the problem, gathering and analyzing data, generating insights and recommendations
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to develop polished visuals (PowerPoint) and communicate effectively with senior audiences
  • Growth driven hunter mentality
  • High motivation with a track record of strong performance and career progression
  • Experience in managing teams and developing people
