Team missionThe Strategy & Corporate Development team’s mission is to support the creation and execution of innovative strategies that will help GetYourGuide harness its competitive advantage. We have a seat at the table and are able to navigate between big picture views and an analytical mindset to enable our Management team to make optimal decisions to achieve our company's mission.
Based in the Berlin headquarters and reporting to the Director Strategy & Corporate Development you will partner with the entire Strategy & Corporate Development team, Finance team, other functional research and analytics functions, as well as senior stakeholders throughout the organization. You will play a vital part in informing and shaping strategic discussions by conducting in-depth market and competitive research and synthesizing insights from various internal and external sources.
You will:- Conduct competitive and market research (both primary and secondary) to uncover trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
- Evolve and refine current research formats; innovate with new data sources, methodologies, and presentation formats to enhance insights and decision making.
- Synthesize strategic insights from a variety of internal sources (including UX research, Brand research, Analytics) in combination with market and competitive research gathered by the Strategy team. Connect the dots on themes across the different sources and translate into insights and so-what that shape the strategy.
- Support the overall strategy process by preparing and delivering clear, data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure research findings are integrated into broader strategic discussions and initiatives.
- Develop presentations and written reports to communicate insights and recommendations effectively.
- Continuously seek ways to optimize research processes and enhance the quality and relevance of insights provided.
- 4+ years of experience in top tier management consulting, competitive analysis, market research, or a strategic, insights-focused role in dynamic environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills—comfortable working with both qualitative and quantitative data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex research findings into clear and actionable insights.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and common market research tools; familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple research projects simultaneously with internal and external stakeholders and work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Fluency in German is a plus.
