Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced Strategic Initiatives Program Manager to join our Digital PMO team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the strategy, planning, and execution of a complex, multi-platform legacy SaaS migration. Operating as an individual contributor within the Digital PMO, you will collaborate closely with Professional Services, Customer Value, Finance, Implementations, Commercial teams, Engineering, and Product Management leaders to ensure a seamless transition from legacy systems to a modern architecture.
What You’ll Do (Core Responsibilities)
In this role, you will:
Strategic Roadmap Development: Define the vision, strategy, and outcome measures for the legacy SaaS migration of four or more platforms, ensuring the transition aligns with long-term digital strategy.
Program Governance: Establish and facilitate governance for the legacy SaaS migration project, including execution monitoring, status reporting, and facilitating high-stakes decision-making.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Foster close working relations across Engineering, Product Management, and Go-to-Market teams to ensure post-transition commercial and KPI targets are achieved.
Resource & Risk Management: Assess and articulate required resourcing, including people, funding, and tools, to translate technical debt into actionable problem statements and increase confidence in achieving critical SaaS migration milestones.
Operational Reporting: Design and establish reporting practices that provide executive-level visibility into legacy migration progress, cross-functional risks, and project dependencies.
What You’ll Bring (Skills & Experience)
The ideal candidate will have:
Numerous years of experience in managing complex program portfolios, with a proven track record of leading large-scale technology transitions.
Several years of specific technical proficiency focused on SaaS migrations or large-scale platform integrations in digital industries.
Mastery of Delivery Models: Deep expertise utilizing both waterfall and agile models specifically to manage phased legacy SaaS migration activities.
Executive Facilitation: Strong experience building alignment across global stakeholders and presenting technical SaaS migration strategies to senior executive teams.
Exceptional Communication: Outstanding written and oral communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to interpret complex technical SaaS migration needs for non-technical stakeholders.
