Role Overview

We are hiring a Strategic Finance Director to support the planning and forecasting of our business. This on-site role will take part on key business initiatives as well as on all capital raise efforts. As Strategic Finance Director you will work closely with the C-level as well as with Risk, Growth, Operations and Accounting teams to take Nelo to the next level.

What You’ll Do:

• Quarterback the month-end reporting of the business (actual vs forecast)including:

  • Growth

  • Profitability

  • Efficiency

  • Cash

• Define the growth and budget of the business

• Co-own, along with key stakeholders the company's P&L

• Support capital raise both debt and equity (due diligence, negotiations, reporting)

• Outline budget allocation

• Prepare board materials

• Manage our scenario analyses

• Forecast our liquidity and cash requirements
  

Who You Are:

• 8+ years of experience in Strategic Finance roles in a technology or financial services company

  • Strong operational cadence (planning, reporting, accountability)

• Experience raising debt/equity

  • Must understand structured credit facilities and mezzanine financing

• Strong financial modelling skills

  • Credit portfolio analytics and cohort based modelling

  • Cost of risk frameworks (IFRS 9, ECL models)

• Superior storytelling capabilities

• Magical charting expertise

• Data driven mindset

• Comfortable with ambiguity and speed

• Strategic thinker and hands-on builder. You will own analysis end-to-end

Nice to Have

• You have an MBA or CFA

• Regulatory understanding of MX financial institutions

• FX / Hedging and risk management experience

• SQL, python

• Experience implementing automation & planning systems (ie Anaplan / Cube)
