Job Summary:

Zendesk is seeking a dynamic and strategic 3rd Party Events Manager to join our Experiential Marketing team. This role is pivotal in expanding our presence at major third party events and enhancing our engagement strategy. The ideal candidate will collaborate with global field marketing teams, providing expert advice on event portfolios, managing contracts and entitlements, and ensuring our brand messaging resonates at each event. This role will also involve sourcing and managing agency partners as needed. As we grow, this position may evolve to lead large-scale tradeshows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Third Party Event Strategy Development: Collaborate with global field marketing teams to develop and refine third party event strategies that align with Zendesk's brand and business objectives.

  • Portfolio Management: Advise on global third party event portfolios, ensuring a strategic mix of events that maximize brand visibility and engagement.

  • Contract and Entitlement Management: Oversee contract negotiations and manage entitlements to ensure Zendesk's interests are protected and maximized.

  • Brand Messaging: Work closely with marketing and creative teams to bring Zendesk's messaging to life at events, ensuring consistency and impact.

  • Agency Partnership: Identify, evaluate, and manage agency partners to support event execution, ensuring high-quality delivery and alignment with Zendesk's standards.

  • Speaking Engagement Centers of Excellence: Develop and implement a center of excellence for third party event speaking engagements, including establishing processes, best practices, and tools to ensure consistency, quality and alignment with company goals.

  • Large-Scale Tradeshow Leadership: Lead and manage Zendesk's presence at key tradeshows with significant presence, coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver successful outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in large-scale third party event management, particularly tech events.

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.

  • Experience in contract negotiation and entitlement management.

  • Familiarity with agency management and partnership development.

  • Willingness to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the tech industry or with tech-focused events.

  • Knowledge of Zendesk's products and services is a plus.

The US annualized base salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$148,000.00. This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives. While this range reflects the minimum and maximum value for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, the offer for the successful candidate for this position will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other factors such as work location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only (or OTE for commissions based roles), and do not include bonus, benefits, or related incentives.

Hybrid: In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
