The Strategic Development Analyst combines analytical, financial, and business skills to translate data into recommendations and support the execution of strategic initiatives across the organization.JOB DESCRIPTION
Essential functions
- Conduct market, industry, competitor, and business trend research to identify opportunities, risks, and emerging trends that may impact organizational growth
- Analyze financial, operational, and market data to support strategic planning and business decisions
- Support evaluation of potential acquisitions, partnerships, investments, new markets, and other business development opportunities
- Prepare executive-level presentations, reports, dashboards, and recommendations summarizing key findings and strategic opportunities
- Partner with Finance, Operations, Human Resources, Marketing, Sales, and other functional leaders to gather information and assess strategic opportunities
- Support the development and implementation of annual and long-term strategic plans.
- Identify opportunities to improve revenue growth, profitability, operational effectiveness, and overall organizational performance
- Maintain databases and analytical models used to track market intelligence, business opportunities, and strategic initiatives
- Develop presentations and other materials for executive leadership, board-level discussions, and strategic planning meetings
- Track strategic initiatives, milestones, deliverables, and business outcomes to help ensure successful execution
- Assist with special projects and strategic initiatives assigned by executive leadership
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial, strategic, client, employee, and organizational information
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and performing work in front of a computer screen for long periods of time

Required education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, accounting, marketing, or a related field required
- 2 – 5 years of experience in strategic planning, financial analysis, business development, consulting, corporate development, investment analysis, or a related field
- Experience analyzing financial and operational data and translating findings into actionable recommendations
- Experience conducting market research, competitive analysis, and business case development
Preferred education and experience
- Master’s degree or MBA preferred
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and senior leaders preferred.
- Experience in mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, or corporate development is a plus
