The Associate Director, Commercial Learning Services (CLS) Learning and Development provides strategic direction for L&D-related projects and capabilities within the Commercial Learning Services organization. Specifically, this role is responsible for innovation, governance, and transformation-related training for an assigned team. This role will the initial development and ongoing training as it relates to product launches and line extensions, Customer Office initiatives, capabilities, processes, and implementation of Customer Office work.
Cross-functional collaboration and consulting with key business partners, Lilly Capability Center India (LCCI), US-based CLS team members, Lilly vendors, Customer Office business partners, and SMEs, reviewers, and approvers are required to ensure coordination between the CLS learning strategy and implementation needs.
Key Objectives/Deliverables:
Performance Consultant:
- Lead a portfolio of projects to ensure the on-time, on-budget creation of deliverables that meet quality standards, follow instructional design principles, and meet the needs of the business and learner
- Consult with key business partners to leverage core-learning initiatives aligned to business needs. These initiatives will inform short and long-range training plans
- Leverage LMI learning strategy and adult learning principles to scope, design, and implement training as needed to support all functions
- Experienced in the use of agile methodology (rapid pace and evolving content development)
- Conduct needs assessments to balance learner needs with business priorities
- Design and develop interactive eLearning, workshop materials, including the proper training of facilitators
- Create and maintain a communication strategy to monitor progress for all programs with key stakeholders
- Influence learning organization through knowledge gained from relationships with internal and external customers and partners
- Ensure that work leads to qualified and ready employees
- Responsible for partnering with training administration for proper training assignment for employees
- Coordinate/integrate curriculum with Lilly Marketing Institute and Sales Force Effectiveness teams
Portfolio Management:
- Create clear project charters, statements of work and/or design documents/templates that lead to actionable work orders for learning projects
- Work with partners to create and/or update learning
- Effectively plan and prioritize work while making trade-offs for maximum impact
- Establish and oversee program budget
- Monitor and consistently communicate project / portfolio status to key business partners
- Anticipate and resolve project/program issues; escalate as appropriate
- Create, review, and oversee execution of implementation and communication plans
- Ensure that appropriate reviews and approvals are gained prior to distribution
- Evaluate effectiveness of learning interventions and share with key team members
- Stay abreast of learning solutions and Lilly learning platforms to guide business partners to the most effective learning methods, solutions and outcomes
- Design qualification approach based on business requirements
- Partner for effective timely implementation of learning interventions, considering
Engagement and Prioritization:
- Represents and serves as liaison between sales, global/affiliate marketing, and medical teams as well as with all functions
- Responds to all inquiries and contacts in a timely and professional manner

- Collect business partner and end learner feedback to surface opportunities for improvement, improve processes as appropriate
- Engages and supports transformational activities as determined
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- M.S. in Instructional Systems Technology, Performance Technology, Adult Learning or related experience/education/certification
- 3 years’ experience of strategic learning and development (ADDIE) and consultation within a learning and development function
- 2 years’ experience leading and/or designing and delivering/facilitating learning solutions across multiple platforms (virtual, F2F, webcast, teleconference, etc.)

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$122,250 - $179,300
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
