We’re putting our heads together to modernize mobility, one shared ride at a time.
The Role
Lead regional sales efforts for Via's tech-enabled transportation solutions in the DACH region, building partnerships and driving business development.
Summary Generated by Built In

Via is on a mission to create public transportation systems that provide far greater access to jobs, healthcare, and education. Our platform serves as the technology backbone for modern transport, transforming antiquated and siloed public transportation systems into smart, data-driven, and efficient digital networks. With hundreds of agency partners around the world, Via is recognized as the leading transportation technology and service provider globally.

As a Senior Account Executive at Via, you'll drive revenue growth across DACH, Via's largest European market. You'll build the relationships that matter, close the deals that shape how cities invest in mobility, and help authorities and operators across the region rethink what public transport can look like. This is a high-ownership individual contributor role at the intersection of technology, public policy, and real-world impact, on a team that believes better cities start with better transportation.

About the Role:

  • Building and closing high-impact partnerships with city governments, transport authorities, and private operators across DACH, navigating complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from first conversation to signed deal
  • Executing go-to-market plans for DACH's unique buying landscape, including public-sector procurement processes, political dynamics, and multi-year funding cycles
  • Creating compelling, data-driven business cases that show how Via's platform improves ridership, efficiency, and sustainability for cities and regions across the market
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to city leaders and mobility operators as they design future transit networks, identify funding mechanisms, and navigate operational and political constraints
  • Representing Via externally in your market, contributing to how modern mobility is understood across the region through conferences, industry events, and thought leadership
  • Sharing market intelligence with product and strategy teams, contributing on-the-ground insight from what cities and operators in DACH actually need

About You:

  • 6+ years of experience in sales, business development, or strategy, with a proven ability to win in enterprise, government, infrastructure, or tech-enabled services; a background in public transport or mobility is a strong plus
  • A track record of winning complex, multi-stakeholder deals where outcomes are driven by trust and influence
  • Strong analytical and storytelling skills; you know how to turn data, policy, and customer needs into a clear, compelling commercial narrative
  • Fluent in German (C2) and English, with the instinct to always find the right tone whether in a boardroom, at a conference, or in a written proposal
  • Curious, resourceful, and comfortable in ambiguity; you don't wait for perfect conditions to start moving
  • Sound commercial judgment; you know when to push, when to listen, and when to rethink the approach to maximise the value of a deal
  • A natural collaborator who views success as a team effort and thrives in high-ownership environments

What We Offer:

  • Becoming part of a company that was awarded for its commitment to social good
  • Competitive compensation, including equity
  • Hybrid work and a lovely office situated in the heart of Berlin, in Mitte
  • Company pension scheme (bAV) with a 20% employer contribution
  • Urban Sports Club membership
  • Weekly team lunch and breakfast
  • 30 vacation days a year

There has never been a more exciting time to be on the cutting edge of public mobility.

What We Do

We build technology that changes the way the world moves. Our guiding principle is simple: the future of transportation is dynamic, shared public mobility — the kind that reduces carbon emissions across cities, compliments existing transit infrastructure, and provides equitable access to efficient, affordable ways of getting around. For everyone.

Why Work With Us

You’ll work in an established startup that’s growing at staggering speed. We have plenty of room for the most bold among us to dream it up and make it happen. You’ll be empowered to experiment, and encouraged to challenge what we’ve already done while making stuff no one’s even thought of yet.
