Key Responsibilities

  • Own recurring portfolio monitoring (weekly/monthly) across Retail and Commercial Auto, including key trends (Dealer performance and financial health KRIs, Originations, attrition, and portfolio mix shifts, Inventory aging and utilization metrics, Concentration risks (dealer, geography, product, Audit/issue tracking and resolution themes, etc). 
  • Lead month-end reporting execution for leadership forums (e.g., EMR/ARC/DCS Risk Forum style readouts): produce exhibits, draft concise commentary, and highlight drivers, anomalies, and emerging risks.
  • Investigate and explain anomalous trends using structured analytics (root cause, segmentation, thresholds), and provide clear recommendations/escalation points.
  • Build and maintain analytical datasets / Data Marts: define requirements, partner on sourcing, document metric definitions, reconcile outputs, and support sustainable refresh processes.
  • Support dashboards and technology migrations by validating logic, performing reconciliations between legacy and target environments, and monitoring results post-deployment.
  • Drive consistency across Retail and Commercial reporting by aligning definitions, ensuring comparable metrics, and surfacing gaps/opportunities in coverage.
  • Ensure strong data quality and controls: evidence retention, repeatable checks, documentation, and adherence to data governance and risk reporting standards.
  • Support regulatory exams and audits under manager guidance by assembling data, exhibits, metric definitions, and control documentation in a timely manner.
  • Mentor junior analysts informally (review outputs, share best practices, raise the bar on storytelling and quality) without direct people management responsibility.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Data Science, Statistics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Typically 4–7 years of experience in risk analytics, portfolio monitoring, reporting, or a quantitative role within financial services (auto finance experience is a plus).
  • Strong working knowledge of credit/risk concepts (KRIs, concentration, trend monitoring, issue management, portfolio health indicators).
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and proficiency in Python or SAS for analysis/automation.
  • Experience building and/or maintaining reporting in Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver under tight timelines with strong attention to detail, reconciliation discipline, and documentation habits.
  • Clear communicator who can translate complex analysis into concise, executive-ready insights.

Preferred Qualifications 

Experience supporting Retail and/or Commercial Auto portfolios

  • Experience with data governance practices (definitions, lineage, controls) and dashboard migration/modernization work.
  • Demonstrated process improvement (automation, standardization, reusable code, improved controls).

Skills Required
