About the Role:

The Principal, Global Advisory Services, is a highly experienced consulting professional responsible for leading a portfolio of strategic and complex client engagements. This project leadership role partners with executive stakeholders to solve organizational challenges through trusted advisory relationships, strategic insight, and exceptional consulting delivery. Reporting to senior leadership, the Principal is accountable for delivering outstanding client outcomes while leading enterprise-scale engagements and influencing cross-functional teams.

We are seeking an experienced consulting professional with a proven ability to independently lead complex, multi-workstream engagements in fast-paced, evolving environments. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional strategic thinking, executive presence, and consulting expertise, while effectively aligning stakeholders, coaching project teams, and advancing consulting methodologies and delivery standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Advisory & Relationship Management
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary day-to-day contact for mid-to-senior executive clients.
  • Advise clients using Great Place To Work’s research and point of view as well as established experience in organizational strategy, people analytics, leadership development and more. Deliver strategic recommendations tailored to the client’s business and context.
  • Accountable for ensuring outstanding client experiences. Manage client expectations and ensure project team members are sufficiently enabled to meet client expectations.
  • Synthesize complex information into clear, compelling, and executive-ready recommendations, narratives, and presentations tailored to client stakeholder needs and business priorities.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to deepen client relationships and impact.

Project Leadership

  • Independently lead and deliver complex, enterprise, and multi-workstream projects – developing the project plan, coordinating resources, managing risks and priorities, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality, executive-ready outcomes.
  • Proactively manage stakeholder alignment, navigate ambiguity and competing priorities, and surface risks or decisions early to ensure successful project outcomes and strong client partnership.

Team & Capability Building

  • Effectively deliver work through others by delegating strategically, providing project-based coaching and feedback, and ensuring team members are equipped and supported to successfully meet client and project expectations.
  • Contribute to the growth and evolution of the Advisory business through thought leadership, solution innovation, sales support, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure deliverables and team outputs meet executive-ready standards for quality, strategic insight, clarity, and actionable recommendations.
  • Influence and collaborate across functions to strengthen collaboration, align priorities, and advance client objectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8-10+ years of experience in organizational consulting, leadership advisory, human capital consulting, industrial organizational psychology, or a related professional services environment
  • 5+ years of experience leading medium-to-complex consulting engagements end-to-end
  • Demonstrated experience leading matrixed, cross-functional teams with a strong track record of delivering excellence and getting work done through others
  • Experience partnering closely with executives as a trusted thought partner or liaison
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills with clients and internal stakeholders
  • High degree of ownership, accountability, and discretion, with sound judgment in ambiguous situations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop team members through coaching, feedback, and delegation
  • Alignment with Great Place to Work® Values, guiding behaviors, and Mission
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft and present executive-ready materials with authority and credibility to senior audiences
  • Team player who can effectively toggle between leader and follower, between owner and contributor, and between mainstage and backstage roles as required to achieve desired outcomes.
  • 20% travel; includes international travel as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Applied AI fluency, using generative AI or analytics tools to accelerate insight development and client deliverables responsibly
  • Work experience in a top-tier professional services firm is a plus
  • International/multi-national work and client experience is a plus
  • Strong facilitation and client engagement skills, including experience leading workshops, discussions, or executive meetings with diverse stakeholder groups
  • Aptitude and interest in the creative ambiguity that accompanies designing and building a new practice within an existing organization

The pay range for this position is $129,500 to $186,100. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and work location. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible to participate in a performance-based bonus plan and to receive restricted stock unit awards as part of total compensation.
