We are seeking a Global System Integrator (GSI) Strategic Account Manager to support the development and execution of key global accounts across LATAM.
This role will focus on driving alignment, enhancing coordination across countries, and scaling strategic account initiatives, enabling us to maximize the regional opportunity with Global System Integrators.
The position plays an important role in connecting global strategy with strong local execution, ensuring a consistent and value-driven approach to account development, pipeline generation, and growth across the region.
Responsibilities:
- Drive regional alignment and execution for selected GSI accounts across LATAM
- Partner with country sales teams to develop and support multi-country account strategies aligned with local and regional priorities
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within GSIs and partner ecosystems
- Support and enhance pipeline visibility and opportunity development across countries
- Identify and help accelerate cross-country opportunities, large projects, and repeat business
- Collaborate with local teams to align on account priorities, opportunity strategy, and execution approach
- Act as a point of coordination between country sales teams, Global Accounts teams, and key suppliers
- Support co-selling initiatives with vendors and partners to strengthen customer engagement
- Provide visibility into pipeline, performance, and opportunity progression across the region
- Promote early engagement and value-based selling approaches, helping position Wesco as a strategic partnerWorks with the Sales team to create and support the execution of the strategic account plans at key, named accounts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in strategic account management, enterprise sales, or key account roles
- Experience working with large or strategic customers, preferably across multiple countries or complex environments
- Exposure to working in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
- Solid commercial understanding, including pricing, margin considerations, and pipeline development
- Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities across accounts
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with execution
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office
- Self-starter and able to work efficiently under pressure
- Experience in executing in a matrix organization managing multiple stakeholders and projects
- Ability to travel up to 25%
Skills Required
- High School Degree or Equivalent
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years proven sales experience in outside sales or 3+ years strategic account and/or sales management
- History of success maintaining and developing key relationships
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods and coordination of people and resources
- Ability to understand where potential exists in assigned accounts and can recognize and create opportunities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office
- Self-starter and able to work efficiently under pressure
- Experience in executing in a matrix organization managing multiple stakeholders and projects
- Ability to travel up to 25%
