Job Summary:
As the Strategic Account Manager, you will provide input in the overall business development vision, strategy, plans, and processes that will drive sales, increase revenue, and expand markets. This role will oversee a cross functional team of individuals to identify and evaluate new markets, partnerships, sales channels, and customers. To be successful in this role you will need to develop a wide network of contacts to keep informed about current and future industry and market actions. Research and analyze the business environment, competitors, and customers to develop ideas for new products and services, pricing, and business models. Additionally, this role will direct financial feasibility studies, develop proposals, and negotiate for new business opportunities. This role will guide marketing, sales, and customer account management, while collaborating with product development, production, and quality to successfully bring new products to market.
Job Functions:
- Identifying potential new markets, customers, and products to target;
- Building and managing strategic alliances with other companies to create new business opportunities;
- Driving yearly revenue growth with existing customers;
- Understands, maintains, and grows the brand name that Mid Continent Controls has worked to create;
- Provide input into effective processes for sales, marketing, and business development;
- Assist in the development of short and long-range business forecasts, sales plans, marketing plans, and budgets;
- Provide continuous market and solution set feedback;
- Communicate effectively with others using both oral and written communication skills.

Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in an Engineering, Technology, or Business degree from an accredited university;
- Understand and demonstrate clear business acumen that impacts profitability of new business partnerships;
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the aviation industry;
- Previous business leadership experience is a plus;
- Working knowledge of aircraft markets, particularly focusing on OEM aircraft;
- Ability to organize and direct oneself;
- Ability to be held accountable or answerable for one’s conduct;
- Ability to inspire oneself to reach a goal and/or perform to the best of their ability;
- Must have positive attitude to support company policies and must be able to create and maintain a high-morale environment;
Work Environment:
- Occasionally lift and/or move items up to 30 pounds approximately;
- Well-lit, temperature-controlled, clean environment;
- Travel up to 40% will be required.
