We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Account Manager to join our Commercial Oncology team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing and implementing innovative contract models tailored to our diversified oncology portfolio. You will build and maintain long-term business relationships with key stakeholders mainly in Austria but also in Switzerland, specifically in the hospital, buying groups, and wholesale segment, analyze market trends, and provide strategic input to drive our business forward.

Key activities in this position include:

  • Analysis and evaluation of market trends and competitive activities to optimize negotiation strategies.

  • Developing and implementing innovative contract models tailored to our oncology portfolio.

  • Negotiation and conclusion of contracts primarily with hospitals, purchasing groups (GPO), and regional and national health insurance funds across the countries.

  • Establishing and maintaining long-term business relationships with key stakeholders in the healthcare sector.

  • Feedback and contributions to the strategic direction and further development of the hemato-oncology portfolio; support in developing materials and meeting documents for stakeholders in purchasing and procurement.

  • Close cross-functional collaboration with internal departments such as Marketing, Market Access, Sales, and Legal & Compliance to ensure that all contracts and business relationships comply with company policies and legal requirements.

  • Close cooperation and coordination with internal international departments including obtaining approvals for specific contract offers to business partners within the REGN governance structure.

  • Regular reporting to management on the progress and results of negotiations.

  • You're a seasoned account management professional with a knack for negotiating and closing contracts in the healthcare sector.

  • You have a strong background in the pharmaceutical and/or medical devices industry, excellent negotiation skills, and a passion for making a difference in healthcare.

To be considered for this opportunity, you need to...

  • possess sound knowledge of the Austrian and Swiss healthcare systems and relevant market structures.

  • have several years of professional experience in independent contract negotiations within the pharmaceutical or medical sector.

  • demonstrate strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills with proven success in developing and implementing innovative contract models.

  • establish and maintain business relationships, with a high willingness to travel within Austria and Switzerland.

  • have proven ability to work cross-functionally, building strong relationships with stakeholders from diverse teams.

  • hold a degree in business administration, health economics, pharmacy, or a related field, and be a trained as a pharmaceutical sales representative or have a comparable qualification.

  • be fluent in written and spoken German and English, and able to work effectively in a dynamic and demanding environment.

In Austria, the minimum annual gross salary based on Trade CBA will be EUR 86,700 with a willingness to overpay depending on qualification and relevant experience.
