Position Summary: Barnhart is seeking a Strategic Accounts Manager to develop and expand relationships with key customers that offer strong potential for repeat business and long-term growth. This role serves as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts, working with customers to identify opportunities and deliver Barnhart's specialized lifting, transportation, heavy haul, and engineered solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute account growth strategies for assigned customers.
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target accounts.
  • Identify opportunities across all Barnhart service lines and drive business development efforts.
  • Conduct customer meetings, presentations, and account reviews.
  • Partner with operations, engineering, and estimating teams to develop solutions and proposals.
  • Lead opportunity development from prospecting through project award.
  • Maintain accurate account and opportunity information in CRM (IFS).
  • Collaborate with branch and corporate teams to deliver exceptional customer service and project execution.
  • Communicate account activity, forecasts, and growth strategies with Sales & Marketing leadership.
  • Achieve annual sales and profitability goals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in account management, business development, or sales within industrial services, construction, manufacturing, engineering, or related industries.
  • Proven ability to develop new business and grow existing customer relationships.
  • Experience preparing and presenting technical and commercial proposals.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with operations, engineering, and project teams.
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
