The Strategic Account Manager (West), India for Leica Biosystems is responsible for developing and executing strategic account plans that grow revenue and strengthen partnerships across our Histopathology (HI), Advanced Staining (AS), and Digital Pathology (PI) portfolios. This role requires strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management, and the ability to orchestrate cross-functional collaboration to drive sustainable growth.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with senior decision-makers, influencers, and clinical champions across key hospital groups in the West region.
- Lead strategic commercial engagements for major contract negotiations, pricing structures, and multi-site partnership agreements.
- Deliver revenue and margin targets for designated key accounts, ensuring effective execution of account strategies.
- Drive upselling, cross-selling, and portfolio penetration across Histology, Advanced Staining, and Digital Pathology.
- Analyze account-level performance, sales trends, customer preferences, and competitive activity to refine strategies and identify new opportunities.
- Build customized, multi-year key account plans aligned with customer priorities and Leica Biosystems’ strategic objectives.
- Ensure cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Service, Finance, Supply Chain, and Clinical Applications teams to support customer needs and deliver value.
- Forecast business performance accurately and maintain strong pipeline visibility in CRM (SFDC).
The essential requirements of the job include:
- 8+ years of commercial experience in Medical Devices / Diagnostics / Healthcare / Life Sciences, with 5+ years in Key Account Management.
- Proven experience managing large hospital networks or corporate healthcare groups, including multi-stakeholder mapping and complex negotiation cycles.
- Strong capability in building strategic account plans and driving account growth.
- Deep understanding of sales performance metrics, pricing, margins, and value-based account development.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder influence, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
Travel Requirements:
- Ability to travel up to 75% across West India.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Science, Medical Technology, Business or related field.
- Experience in Pathology, Laboratory Diagnostics, Surgical Oncology, or Medical Device solutions.
- Strong familiarity with SFDC / CRM platforms and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
