Job Description
Role Purpose
The Strategic Account Manager represents Rockwell Automation's portfolio to a Strategic Account customer with a substantial business commitment. You will develop global partnerships at the executive level, driving communication, and leading teams to expand product and service penetration. You will also facilitate interactions between Strategic Account and Rockwell Automation's Product Groups/Divisions.

Position Summary
- Represent the full portfolio of Rockwell Automation's products and services, with an understanding of the semiconductor industry's needs. Demonstrate technical expertise in areas critical to this sector, periodically upskilling to address customer-specific needs.
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with senior and executive levels at semiconductor accounts. Convey Rockwell Automation's value proposition by linking our offerings to our client's goals, production goals, and economic drivers.
- Achieve business growth by coordinating an indirect team approach across multiple levels within our clients' organization. Work in close collaboration with Sales Management to ensure alignment and maximize the customer experience.
- Develop trust-based, mutually beneficial relationships with principal sponsors at strategic semiconductor accounts. Formalize these relationships with a growth plan that targets increasing "customer share" globally across all relevant regions.
- Assess and prioritize opportunities within the semiconductor market, allocating Rockwell Automation resources to increase impact.
- Ensure seamless collaboration between the Strategic Account and Rockwell Automation's product groups, divisions, and international sales teams to facilitate resource access and foster relationships.
- Participate in clients' manufacturing and implementation teams to provide early input on control and information solutions. Use this involvement to share Rockwell Automation's semiconductor strategy and respond to industry trends and client needs.
- Identify and pursue new growth opportunities within the semiconductor sector that mutually benefit both Rockwell Automation and strategic accounts.
- Lead the development of annual account plans, coordinating across global teams to communicate and deliver the plan with clear milestones and progress reports.
- Champion Rockwell Automation's presence within the semiconductor industry by expanding customer reach globally, ensuring delivery across geographical regions.
- Travel to engage with global account teams and communicate strategic goals, supporting growth plans and promoting alignment across dispersed teams.
- With client participation and consent, document and share industry success stories that highlight the semiconductor applications and solutions developed in partnership with strategic accounts.
- Be a mentor for colleagues, demonstrating the qualities of an 'Executive Sales Professional' to inspire the team.
- Ensure compliance with all Rockwell Automation policies and government regulations. Follow standards covering Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Information Protection, and quality and environmental policies.
- Use a sales CRM to manage the sales pipeline and record information on prospects.
- Develop a sales territory, attracting and driving new business following a strategic territory plan.
The Essentials - You Will Have :
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in technical sales or account management within the semiconductor industry.
- Demonstrated experience in selling control, information, and automation solutions for the semiconductor industry or in a similar high-tech sector, or hands-on experience in semiconductor manufacturing operations.
- Engage at senior and executive levels within semiconductor accounts, presenting Rockwell Automation's solutions to align with strategic goals.
