Job Description

Role Purpose

The Strategic Account Manager represents Rockwell Automation's full portfolio to Samsung, one of our most critical strategic accounts. You will deepen executive‑level partnerships, orchestrate global coordination, and expand Rockwell Automation's reach across Samsung's worldwide operations. You will be the primary contact between Samsung and Rockwell Automation's global business units, divisions, and regional teams.

You will report to End-user Sales Manager, Consumer Industry.

Position Summary

  • Ensure compliance with all Rockwell Automation policies and applicable government regulations, including standards on Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Information Protection, quality, and environment.

  • Represent the full Rockwell Automation portfolio, including control, information, software, and services, with an understanding of Samsung's businesses, decision-making structure, and operational priorities. Ensure ongoing competency development to address Samsung-specific requirements.

  • Build senior/executive-level relationships across Samsung affiliates and global sites. Clearly communicate Rockwell Automation's value proposition according to Samsung's technical roadmap, production strategies, and enterprise goals.

  • Achieve business growth globally by coordinating teams within Rockwell Automation and Samsung. Partner with Sales Management to ensure execution and a unified customer experience.

  • Develop trust-based, strategic relationships with key Samsung sponsors. Translate these relationships into relevant, multi-year global growth plans that expand Rockwell Automation's share across Samsung operations worldwide.

  • Prioritize and pursue opportunities across Samsung's business, allocating Rockwell Automation resources to maximize global impact.

  • Ensure seamless collaboration between Samsung and Rockwell Automation's product groups, industry teams, and international sales organizations to ensure effective resource access and technical alignment.

  • Participate in Samsung's engineering, manufacturing, and project teams, providing early input on control and information architecture. Share Rockwell Automation's strategy and shape solutions in response to Samsung's evolving requirements.

  • Develop new growth opportunities within Samsung that yield long-term, mutually beneficial business expansion for both companies.

  • Lead annual global account planning, aligning internal teams across regions and delivering Samsung-specific strategies, milestones, and performance updates.

  • Champion Rockwell Automation's presence within Samsung globally, ensuring engagement and execution across all Samsung sites and geographic regions.

  • Travel as needed to meet Samsung global teams, support joint initiatives, and communicate strategic goals across Rockwell Automation's worldwide organization.

  • Capture success stories and best practices, with Samsung's consent, to highlight collaboration outcomes, solution excellence, and industry leadership.

  • Serve as a role model for consultative enterprise selling, mentoring colleagues and contributing to a high-performance sales culture.

  • Use CRM tools to manage opportunities, maintain accurate pipeline visibility, and record customer insights.

  • Develop a strategic account plan designed around Samsung's global footprint and long-term priorities.

The Essentials - You Will Have :

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

  • 5-10 years of experience in technical sales or account management experience with Samsung or Samsung-related businesses.

  • Demonstrated experience in selling control, information, and automation solutions to Samsung or similarly large, diversified technology organizations, or operational excellence within advanced manufacturing environments.

  • Engage and influence senior and executive stakeholders within Samsung and present enterprise-level solutions aligned to strategic goals.

  • Preferred experience in GCS (Gas Chemical System), FMCS (Facility Management Control System), and power control systems, either through direct or indirect engagement with end-users and Eco Partners.
