The Role


RevolutionParts is looking for a senior-level Strategic Account Manager to help drive relationships, revenue growth, and retention with our largest and most complex Auto Group and OEM customers. This role is pivotal in ensuring the onboarding, growth, and retention of these key partners, guiding them through the intricacies of digital marketing and multi-channel sales strategies. The Strategic Account Manager serves as the trusted point of contact for a portfolio of customers from post-sale onboarding, lifecycle management, and channel/program growth. You will proactively engage customers to ensure the optimization of the platform and use industry best practices to maximize ROI and/or exceed their parts commerce goals.

Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management: Responsible for understanding partner teams, their goals, needs, and challenges while regularly analyzing partner performance data to identify trends, opportunities for growth, and areas for improvement to flex our approach to accommodate their dynamic needs.
  • Partnership Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners, from the operational contact to the executive sponsor level, understanding their business needs and providing tailored strategies and solutions to enhance their success and continued investment using our platform while also keeping key internal stakeholders like Product and Engineering, Project Managers, and Digital Marketing Specialists informed and holding them accountable to deadlines.
  • Growth Strategy Development: Make recommendations for optimizing the program to implement growth strategies via sales on all relevant channels. Manages all aspects of reporting, including regular reporting of the activities and customer meetings, actual sales, forecasts, and long-range planning
  • Feedback Loop: Maintain detailed business summaries from external client meetings in a centralized database and interface internally at least once weekly with stakeholders leading customer-facing teams, with additional meetings and ownership regarding specific projects, customers, or regions as needed—relay feedback to the relevant RevolutionParts teams, including product, development and support teams.
  • Digital Marketing Expertise: Leverage your understanding of digital marketing concepts to advise sellers on SEO, PPC, email marketing, social media, and other strategies to drive traffic and sales.
  • Data Analysis and Performance Tracking: Reporting that supports the right incentives to grow programs and customer KPIs, standardizing key playbooks for this integral customer segment while identifying opportunities to optimize and build new motions into the customer journey. 
  • Collaboration Planning: Detail-oriented optimization of each customer’s operations and strategy, including identifying areas for development and driving cross-team collaboration to bring together strategies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. 
  • Automotive industry experience required.
  • 10 years of direct experience in account management or equivalent client success roles, specifically working with automotive dealer groups and/or OEMs in the parts and accessories segment.
  • Experience in large complex deal negotiations with a successful track record, establishing credibility quickly with senior-level executives across the organizations.
  • Expertise with large auto groups and automakers, especially in the aftersales and fixed operations segments, is strongly preferred.
  • Superior organizational, conflict resolution, time management, and negotiation skills.
  • Prior experience in eCommerce or related industries is required.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using eCommerce platforms, CRM software, and data analysis tools.
  • Digital Marketing Knowledge: Strong understanding of digital marketing concepts and strategies, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, and social media marketing.
  • Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Creative thinker; finds innovative ways to increase business value and desired outcomes.
  • Track record of facilitating new product programs/launches.
  • Customer Orientation: Dedicated to understanding and meeting the needs of end customers & clients.
  • Highly polished communication and negotiation skills with all levels of internal/external organizations can speak to all levels of an organization.
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, Google Slides, and MS/Office, especially Excel/Gsheets.
  • Comfortable working with data and reporting to extract insights and inform the path to success.
  • Strategic Advisor: Capable of providing insightful, actionable advice to clients.
  • Highly analytical: Leverages data and insights to drive meaningful outcomes.
  • Results-driven: Focused on achieving sales and performance targets.
