Who We're Looking For

The Strategic Account Executive is an advanced level individual contributor, who is focused on developing new markets and possibly new channel opportunities that has both top line revenue growth, and growth impact to Syniverse. This Hunter/Account Management position will seek out new opportunities with new customers and market segments, will cross sell and upsell new and emerging products to existing customers, and will ensure revenue retention through renewing existing business. This role will work closely with all facets of the organization, to ensure there are internal product alignment, technical feasibility and critical business benefits.

Scope of the Role:

  • Direct Reports: This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hunt new market opportunities within new or withing the existing customer base Build relationships with clients, deliver sales presentations, negotiate and close deals.
  • Negotiate and close Indirect Channel deals, including supporting partners with complex deals.
  • Surfaces new ideas, services, and product opportunities.
  • Develop market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.
  • Attends industry events in order to network with relevant stakeholders, gain industry insight and represent the firm in the marketplace.
  • Consistently maintain a solid customer opportunity funnel that supports and exceeds revenue forecasts.
  • Strategically assist in the development of new customer and partner planning sessions and reviews to ensure organizational alignment with customer and partner needs and desires.
  • Analyze and control expenses to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • Prepare periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client or partner base expansion.
  • Maintain accuracy with online systems designed to report status and progress ie: Salesforce.com, Appian etc.
  • Engages appropriate resources to build compelling value propositions and to ensure appropriate level of support directly to the customer.
  • Develop market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.

Experience, Education, and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years in technology sales.
  • Preferred experience in Channel and Alliance Partner sales.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet and Salesforce software.
  • A proven track record in the sales development of new markets and new products.

Additional Requirements:

  • Be a strategic thinker and versed in solution selling.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Must be action and results oriented, business savvy, and, adaptable.
  • Must be able to be a team player.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Travel required for this position is 50%.
