We are seeking results-driven Strategic Account Executives with proven expertise in EdTech/SaaS to join our GTM team. The ideal candidate will have at least three (3) years of documented success in enterprise-level EdTech/SaaS sales, including key district sales and customer expansion efforts, and possess the skills to convert prospects into loyal Kami customers.

This role involves managing a geographic sales territory, nurturing relationships with district stakeholders, and driving revenue growth through inbound and outbound sales activities.

Persistence, resilience, and self-discipline are key requirements in this remote role. However, you must be based in the US, willing to travel, and eligible to work in the US.

What You’ll Do

  • Research and qualify school district prospects, identify decision-makers, and position Kami as a must-have solution.
  • Consistently meet or exceed quarterly sales targets by employing strategic sales methodologies.
  • Drive the sales process from lead qualification to closed deals, leveraging inbound interest and outbound prospecting efforts.
  • Build and nurture relationships using various communication channels, including email, phone, and video conferencing.
  • Lead discovery meetings, assess needs, deliver tailored demonstrations, and close opportunities.
  • Execute strategies to influence K-12 decision-makers to adopt Kami solutions.
  • Record, analyze, and optimize sales activities using our CRM and marketing automation tools to ensure accurate reporting and pipeline management.
  • Provide actionable feedback to GTM leadership to refine our sales processes and strategies.
  • Represent Kami at state and national education conferences, traveling up to 25% during the school year.
  • Share your insights from EdTech (and teaching experiences) with the team to enhance collective knowledge and success.

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum three (3) years of success in an enterprise sales role, ideally in an EdTech/SaaS environment
  • Demonstrated ability to execute strategic sales initiatives, including expansion activities.
  • A proven track record of delivering measurable results in a quota-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with school district purchasing processes (and personas) is a must.
  • Proficient with a CRM system, various prospecting tools, and virtual communication platforms.
  • A consultative sales approach and the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • A knack for asking great discovery questions to uncover new opportunities for Kami solutions.
  • College degree and relevant EdTech/SaaS sales experience required.
  • K-12 teaching experience is a plus.

What We Do

We come to work everyday to help foster a positive learning journey for everyone. Kami was developed in Aotearoa, New Zealand by four university friends who decided to make a difference. Ten years later, we’ve grown into a team of over 100 Kami-leons with a shared goal of supporting classroom heroes and leveling the playing field so that all students, no matter their age, grade, or ability, can love learning. We’re proud to have been named one of Time magazine’s most influential companies in 2022 and included in the Deloitte Fast 50 as the fastest growing company and fastest growing exporter in 2021. Our investors include leading Australian venture capitalist firm Right Click Capital, CapitalPitch, New Zealand-based Flying Kiwi Angels, New Zealand Venture Investment Fund, and notable Silicon Valley investors such as Sam Altman of Y Combinator and Scott Nolan of Founders Fund. Our Team: We believe that having a dedicated, enthusiastic, and non-hierarchical team can achieve remarkable things — we’re well on-track to proving it, too. Our company culture embraces diversity, compassion, transformation, and most importantly, fun! With these values, we're working to add a little magic to education so that teachers and students can achieve so much more together. We thrive in an encouraging environment where people can share ideas, generate solutions, and grow. Join us in building the future of education.
