To receive supplies purchased ensuring that the quality, quantity and price are correct. Invoices are checked against orders. Random cases of produce are opened and checked for quality and spoilage. Frozen foods arrive frozen solid; and there is no evidence of thawing and refreezing. Refrigerated foods are received at a temperature of 5° C/ 41° F or less. Refrigerated foods are checked with thermometer and are stored immediately. All meat, fruit and vegetables weights are checked upon delivery and any weight deviations are reported immediately to the vendor. Unauthorized substitutions are rejected and returned to the vendor. Damaged goods, out of temperature foods or poor-quality foods are separated, rejected and sent back to the vendor immediately. Expiration dates of products are checked upon receipt. All incoming foods/cases are clearly dated with the date received and packed away within twenty-four (24) hours of receipt. Reports are compiled on the use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory, counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock and location changes.

To receive and fill requisitions for the Production, Terminal and Operations departments in correct quantities and in a timely fashion. Supplies are distributed via requisition only. Products are issued in correct quantities, always. Products are issued to production, operations and terminal departments according to schedule. The storeroom door is locked and always secured.

To maintain an accurate inventory of food and supplies to ensure the accurate calculation of costs.
To store food products and supplies at correct temperatures while ensuring FIFO rotation. A system of storage is developed for easy access and stock is rotated on shelves ensuring FIFO rotation. Products in storage do not exceed recommended storage periods. All freezers are set at -18° C/0° F or below. All coolers are set at 4° C/40° F or below. All ingredients, supplies and shelving are correctly labeled. All food items are stored to prevent cross-contamination. All frozen foods removed for thawing are re-dated and double dated.

Additional functions to be performed as needed:

To adhere to all safety standards and procedures. All safety precautions are adhered to as specified by the relevant safety boards both local and international. All standards of personal hygiene established by the Company are adhered to uniforms, hair coverings, jewelry, hand washing, etc. The necessary precautions are taken in the loading and unloading of goods and/or equipment. All foods are properly handled, stored and refrigerated. All food safety policy and procedures are always adhered to. All security policy and procedures are always adhered to.

To perform any other related duties as directed by the Procurement Manager. All assignments are carried out to agreed standards.
