Storeroom Technician at a glance....
Starting rate $33.00 per hour!
Work Schedule:
10:00pm-6:30am (Monday-Friday)
Overtime may be required as needed.
The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking a Storeroom Technician to work at our facility in Dover, DE. Ideal candidates must be motivated to work in a team-orientated, fast-paced environment. This position requires individuals to perform duties in a food manufacturing environment following strict quality and safety standards.
What's on the menu?
Reports directly to Maintenance Supervisor, monitors and services plant operations by supporting all day-to-day storeroom operations. This position involves being a part of a customer Food Safety Team Member, in addition to the following, employees are responsible for understanding the relevance and importance of the individual's activities in contributing to food safety, and reporting situations that may impact food. Accountable for the QRMP (Quality Risk Management Process) standards as outlined in the plant's QRMP accountability document, including the implementation, improvement, and ongoing maintenance.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES -

  • Perform all duties associated with day-to-day management of supplies & services in the storeroom, including the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) replenishment process.
  • Repairs, returns, kitting of parts, cycle counting, shipping and receiving, and area housekeeping duties.
  • Stocking and re-stocking, evaluating cost reduction opportunities on stocked items.
  • Work with outside vendors & Engineers on project related storeroom activities. Pursue cost & service level improvement opportunities including min/max changes, alternative or replacement opportunities, and stock and no stock decisions.
  • Participates in Level l meetings, prepare reports and any records needed.


Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Ability to use CMMS (SAP)
  • MS Word and Excel
  • 1 - 2 years of mechanical and or electrical maintenance experience.
  • Detailed Oriented and strong interpersonal skills.
  • High degree of problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent multi-tasking, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate various material handling equipment, including lift trucks, pallet jacks, and walk behind hand trucks.
  • Ability to work with vendors and within a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted, standing, and walking required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience


Working conditions

  • Exposure to seasonal conditions such as rain, snow, wind, humidity & sun.
  • Exposure to plant shipping & manufacturing conditions such as dust, cleaning chemicals, greases or lubricants, corrugated & wooden shipping materials, bubble wrap, tapes, glue, plastic, & various other manufacturing elements.
  • Occasional respirator use may be required and working in narrow aisles.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to wear company authorized safety shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves, and may occasionally be required to use a respirator. Hairnets and beard nets are also required.
