Job Description
Storeroom Coordinator
This position is responsible for managing all storeroom operations, playing a critical role in supporting our plant’s success by ensuring inventory is accurate, accessible, and aligned with manufacturing and maintenance needs.
Key Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain and manage storeroom inventory using the Maximo system
- Process requests for new items and create purchase requisitions (PRs)
- Coordinate with the Purchasing team to place and track orders
- Receive, verify, and properly document incoming materials and parts
- Distribute and stock inventory in designated locations
- Maintain appropriate stock levels, including critical spare parts
- Perform cycle counts and ensure inventory accuracy
- Audit and correct documentation discrepancies; create new records as needed
- Coordinate shipping and receiving activities
- Expedite orders with vendors as necessary to meet operational needs
- Build and maintain effective vendor relationships to ensure quality and cost efficiency
- Evaluate pricing and sourcing options for restocking materials
- Collaborate closely with Maintenance and Reliability teams to determine optimal inventory levels
- Support maintenance projects by coordinating and staging required parts
- Assist with locating, picking, and issuing materials
