Storage ArchitectAWS · NetApp · FlexCache · Hybrid CloudHyderabad, India  •  Full-TimePosition SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced Storage Architect with deep expertise in AWS cloud storage services, NetApp enterprise storage platforms, and FlexCache technologies. This role leads strategic storage architecture initiatives across hybrid cloud environments and is ideal for senior-level architects with 10+ years of direct storage expertise—particularly those with backgrounds at NetApp, AWS.The architect will assess existing storage infrastructure, review current designs, identify performance and cost optimization opportunities, and deliver actionable recommendations that improve scalability, resiliency, operational efficiency, and cloud integration. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with a consultative mindset and works cross-functionally with infrastructure, cloud, DevOps, platform engineering, and application teams.Key ResponsibilitiesStorage Architecture & Strategy

•     Review and assess current enterprise storage architecture across on-premises and cloud environments.

•     Design and recommend scalable, resilient, high-performance hybrid cloud storage solutions.

•     Develop storage modernization strategies aligned with business growth and cloud adoption.

•     Create architectural standards, best practices, and operational guidelines for storage services.

AWS & Hybrid Cloud Storage

•     Architect and optimize AWS-based storage solutions, including:

◦     Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP

◦     Amazon EBS, S3, and AWS Backup

◦     AWS Direct Connect

◦     Multi-region disaster recovery architectures

•     Design hybrid cloud connectivity and data mobility solutions between on-premises NetApp systems and AWS.

•     Optimize cloud storage cost, performance, lifecycle management, and data protection strategies.

•     Partner with cloud engineering and DevOps teams to support infrastructure automation initiatives.

NetApp & FlexCache

•     Lead architecture and optimization efforts across the NetApp ecosystem, including:

◦     ONTAP, FlexCache, SnapMirror, MetroCluster

◦     StorageGRID, Cloud Volumes ONTAP, AFF/FAS platforms

•     Design and troubleshoot high-performance distributed cache architectures using FlexCache.

•     Improve storage efficiency through tiering, deduplication, compression, caching, and workload placement.

•     Review replication, DR, and backup architectures for scalability and resiliency.

Optimisation & Troubleshooting

•     Analyze existing storage environments and deliver actionable recommendations across:

◦     Performance optimization and capacity planning

◦     Cost reduction and reliability improvements

◦     Operational simplification and monitoring

•     Conduct root-cause analysis for complex storage and infrastructure issues.

•     Identify bottlenecks across compute, network, and storage layers.

Collaboration & Leadership

•     Act as a trusted advisor to infrastructure and engineering leadership.

•     Work closely with platform, DevOps, networking, security, and application teams.

•     Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across storage initiatives.

•     Lead architecture reviews, technical workshops, and design discussions with internal and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

•     10+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise storage architecture and administration.

•     Deep expertise with NetApp storage technologies and the ONTAP ecosystem.

•     Proven experience designing and supporting hybrid cloud environments on AWS.

•     Advanced expertise with NetApp FlexCache implementations and performance optimisation.

•     Strong experience with Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP, Cloud Volumes ONTAP, and SnapMirror replication.

•     Proficiency with NFS, SMB/CIFS, and iSCSI storage protocols.

•     Solid understanding of data lifecycle management, disaster recovery architectures, backup/retention strategies, and high-availability models.

•     Experience in large-scale enterprise or semiconductor / high-performance computing environments preferred.

•     Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

•     Ability to operate independently and drive initiatives with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

•     Prior experience at NetApp, AWS, or a major cloud/storage consulting organization.

•     AWS certifications: Solutions Architect – Professional, Advanced Networking.

•     NetApp certifications: NCDA, NCTA, NS0-163 / ONTAP certifications.

•     Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools: Terraform, Ansible, Python.

•     Familiarity with Kubernetes, container storage, and DevOps workflows.

•     Experience supporting AI/ML, EDA, HPC, or large-scale engineering workloads.
