Job Summary:
Performs all shipping/receiving functions directly relating to CSA Group receiving and/or shipping goods and materials.
Responsibilities:

Receives and signs for incoming stock i.e. samples, standards, labels, items purchased. Checks details on all items ensuring proper names, addresses and quantities against packing slips, noting any damage or shortages. Responsible for recording all pertinent information of samples using data entry of the on-line system, recording their locations. Records collect charges of shipments in log book. Forwards all information to appropriate departments. Sorts day end listing of sample cards and separates into grouping for distribution to jobholders, PGA's, customs. Files sample cards, logs in book the totals of samples received, shipped and items purchased.

Stores samples, standards, and labels, ensuring all items are located in their proper bins. Responsible for recording stock movement on sample and standard tags and into SAP daily. Delivers samples to engineers and lab staff daily ensuring signatures are received to transfer ownership from stores. Delivers standards as required to CSA staff. Picks up and returns samples from lab back to stores, ensuring all samples are signed back into stores and recorded into SAP. Operates the forklift as required.

Ships samples and labels from stock ensuring serial numbers, standards numbers and model numbers of goods are correct prior to shipping. Records all transactions on standards, labels and sample cards. Ensures all shipments are properly packaged. Ships stock as per customer request or best available method, attaching proper customs forms to shipments abroad. Completes freight bills, courier waybills daily for all shipments and pickups of samples, standards, and labels. Records all shipping details of sample, standards, and labels on sample cards, labels packing slips and files for reference. When needed, can track down incoming/outgoing shipments by use of waybill tracking system. Prints standards orders daily and sorts for shipping purposes. Records shipping details of standards shipments directly on-line ensuring all details are correct.

Physically counts inventory of standards and labels stores yearly. Takes inventory of samples from sample aging sheets. Works with outside auditors and/or staff during inventory checks and assists when possible. Tracks down samples from jobholders and lab staff for manufacturer's pickups. Maintains unit end figures in standards.

Answers daily telephone inquiries from CSA staff and manufacturers concerning the job (i.e. arrival of shipments, shipping details, tracing). Prepares special orders for CSA staff (i.e. annual conferences, marketing shows). Responsible for safe housekeeping and daily recycling of cardboard by use of baler machine. Responsible for removal of labels designated for destruction. Ensures maintenance of printers.

Must be able to move/tilt items by either pushing or pulling them on a frequent basis.

Frequent lift truck operation

Noise levels include truck air brakes, lift truck warning horns and electric doors on an intermittent basis.
Education and Experience:

Full Secondary School Diploma
-
3 months of experience

Licensed fork truck operator (to be validated by 3rd party)
