The Stocker plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of inventory within the transportation and warehousing industry. This position is responsible for receiving, organizing, and replenishing stock to maintain optimal inventory levels and support seamless warehouse operations. The Stocker contributes to the overall supply chain by ensuring that products are stored safely and are readily accessible for distribution or shipment. Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items safely, often up to 50 pounds or more.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to read and interpret inventory documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, stockroom, or inventory management role.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software.
  • Experience operating Reach lift.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehousing.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying the accuracy of delivered items against purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Organize and stock products in designated storage areas, ensuring proper labeling and placement for easy retrieval.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies or damages to warehouse supervisors.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the stockroom and warehouse areas to comply with safety standards.
  • Assist with preparing orders for shipment by picking, packing, and staging products as needed.

The Stocker uses organizational skills daily to ensure that inventory is stored systematically and can be located quickly when needed.
