We're looking for a Site Traffic Management Specialist (STMS) to join our Traffic Management team in Alexandra, Central Otago. You'll lead traffic management site setups, support and mentor Traffic Controllers, and help deliver safe and efficient traffic operations across our worksites.

This is a hands-on, outdoor role working across a variety of worksites and infrastructure projects. You'll be responsible for ensuring traffic management activities are safe, compliant and delivered to a high standard while providing leadership to your crew. Your work plays a key role in protecting our people, road users and communities.
Ngā kawenga matua | Key responsibilities
Lead the setup, operation and pack-down of traffic management sites in line with approved Traffic Management Plans.
Guide and mentor Traffic Controllers to deliver safe, compliant and high-quality traffic management activities.
Coordinate traffic management support across a range of worksites, events, roadmarking and sealing projects.
Monitor and maintain safe traffic flow for road users, work crews and the public.
Communicate effectively with team members and site personnel using radios and technology devices.
Champion safety by taking responsibility for the wellbeing of your team, the public, the environment and yourself.

STMS Qualification (Category A and B) with demonstrated knowledge of temporary traffic management.
At least one year's experience working in an STMS role.
Full Class 1 Driver Licence, with a Class 2 Licence being an advantage.
Strong understanding of safe and compliant traffic management practices.
Confidence using technology and mobile devices, including iPads.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic outdoor environment.
High attention to detail with pride in delivering quality site setups.
A strong commitment to safety, leadership and continuous improvement.
