Job Purpose:
- The Steward at Cescaphe Event Group plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of events by maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas. This part-time position supports the culinary and service teams, contributing to the overall guest experience by upholding the highest standards of hygiene and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen and dining areas before and after events.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, and silverware after each use.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of kitchen supplies and inventory.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor promptly.
- Assist with waste management and recycling processes.
- Support the team in any additional tasks as required to ensure successful event execution.

Qualifications

Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Required Experience:
- Previous experience in a stewarding or similar role in the hospitality industry is preferred
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, particularly in events or catering settings, is advantageous

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and other departments
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual labor, including lifting and carrying heavy items
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and adapt to changing priorities
