Provides general and advanced statistical support, as a consultant or collaborator, to clinicians and investigators in the areas of quality improvement, health care financing and organization, medical informatics, and clinical research. Assists in the development of analysis plans, optimizing the application of statistical and analytical techniques to aid in the translation of data into information, and the statistical and analytical programming necessary to execute against the analytical plans and research questions. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.These positions are part of a new, exciting strategic initiative within Sutter Health Research and Education.
This is a hybrid position with both work from home and onsite requirements. The successful candidate will live in the Sutter footprint.

Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
- Master's: Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics or a closely related field
- PhD candidates are encouraged to apply
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years of recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of biostatistical techniques used in biomedical and epidemiological research and the monitoring of quality control.
- Analytical, critical thinking, and research skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail; and to efficiently translate complex data insights.
- Communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, including data presentation and data visualization skills, with the ability to explain complex or sensitive information while building consensus.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel (formulas, charts, pivot tables, etc.); conversant in Access, Visio, data management (PowerView, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), or Customer Relationship Management (CRM)), and a working knowledge of statistical analysis packages (including SAS, STATA, R, SQL).
- Ability to work independently, as well as be part of the team, while managing multiple priorities/ projects simultaneously, meeting tight and often conflicting deadlines.
- Ability to identify and solve complex problems, generate actionable recommendations, and make informed decisions based on the analysis of multiple sources of information while providing new perspectives on existing solutions.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with peers, other departments, stakeholders, agencies, and vendors to achieve branding goals and corporate objectives.

Pay Range is $131,996.80 to $197,995.20 / annual salary. Sacramento Valley Pay Range is $114,774.40 to $172,161.60 / annual salary.The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
