Summary
Allegiant Station Trainers execute and design initial, recurrent, and supplemental learning opportunities for Leaders, customer service, and ground operations agents throughout the Allegiant system. Instructors are responsible for knowing and effectively communicating the central aspects of the operation, corporate policies, and functions of the roles of agents and Leaders. This position requires individuals to be credible sources of reference in all areas relating to customer service and ground operations at Allegiant Air. This position requires an individual with a passion for delivering and developing learning opportunities that enhance team members’ knowledge and awareness of their responsibilities.

A combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
Education: High School Diploma/GED
Years of Experience:
- Minimum one (1) year of previous training experience.
- Minimum one (1) year of airline industry experience.
• Ability to attend and successfully complete required and recurrent training.
• Ability to obtain and retain GSC certification.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability and willingness to obtain a passport as needed for providing training at international locations.
• The ability to read, write, and speak English in order to receive and understand instructions, and directives, and ensure safety, as well as the ability to interact with customers, is a requirement of the job.
• Ability and willingness to travel frequently (up to 75% of the time), sometimes at short notice.
• Excellent problem-solving and structured thinking skills.
• Ability to develop training materials and provide creative solutions for operational improvement.
• Ability to speak in front of groups and facilitate group discussions comfortably and effectively.
• Ability to work in a sometimes-stressful environment.

Preferred Requirements
• College degree.
• Three (3) years of airline industry experience.
•One (1) year of working with the Allegiant product.
Job Duties
• Travel to train team members on customer service, ground operations, and ground security coordinator (as required) curriculum which often includes on-the-job training.
• Operate and effectively train others in the usage of heavy motorized machinery/equipment including, but not limited to: tugs, tractors, belt loaders, bag carts, pushback tractors, and deicers.
• Develop and update curriculum for initial, recurrent, and supplemental courses for Allegiant Air employees and vendors which may include on-the-job training.
• Be familiar with and provide expertise in Federal Aviation Regulation Administration and TSA regulation interpretation.
• Conduct needs assessments and develops/improve all courses offered by Allegiant Air.
• Create, update, maintain, and audit training records.
• Develop and implement training for targeted groups such as supervisors and lead customer service and ground operations agents, which may include on-the-job training.
• Work closely with Stakeholders on training initiatives, training content, and Company initiatives.
• Facilitate initial and recurrent training to all Allegiant Stations Trainers, Service Provider Corporate Trainers, and Local Trainers.
• Train Team Members on Customer Service, Ground Operations, Aircraft Cabin Cleaning, and Ground Security Training curriculum, including on-the-job training.
• Develop and implement training for targeted groups such as Trainers, Supervisors, Leads, Station leaders, and General Managers.
• Check qualifications and ensure accuracy for all of our vendor and contract trainers.
• Assist with Customer Service and Ground Operations functions as required.
• Assist HQ team with projects as requested.
• Ensure compliance with all procedures as outlined in our company manuals and monitor for current revisions and availability.
• Continuous development and maintenance of the Stations Training Curriculum to include ensuring awareness of all changes to any affected location.
• Other duties as assigned.

Airport Agent - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, climb, and use hands and fingers to operate various types of tools and equipment (i.e. hand trucks, carts, ramps, tugs, etc.). May be required to lift and/or carry up to 100 lbs. and to push and/or pull up to 300 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to heights, small spaces, extreme noise (i.e. airports with planes, vehicles, and other machinery), temperature, wind, and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to crawl in and out of small spaces for extended periods of time. Ability to wear personal protective gear. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
