What You’ll Do
The Statewide Regional Coordinator works within the Office of Prevention Services.  The position will serve in the Pinellas County area. The position coordinates and communicates with the Office of Prevention Services management and its stakeholders on items related to delinquency prevention and assists, when necessary, in carrying out duties and responsibilities of other Prevention Services activities.  The position conducts routine observations through on-site visits; assists in the provision of technical assistance; in-service training and guidance on contractual issues statewide for Prevention services.  The position will review provider deficiencies, assist in resolving deficiencies and resolve program related incidents.  This position requires a flexible work schedule due to some weekends, and after-hours (evening) work.   

Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Provides Prevention Services to youth and community events. Develops and maintains effective partnerships and affiliations with local community organizations. Routinely coordinates and communicates with other Statewide Regional Coordinator on issues and concerns within their Circuits.

  • Educates community stakeholders on delinquency prevention programming, to include researching and polices, and plans. Coordinates and participates in community outreach and engagement activities. Coordinates and/or facilitates training.

  • Performs routine visits to contracted Prevention programs. Provides technical assistance as needed to contracted providers, to ensure compliance with contracted terms and conditions. Provides written summary of input and feedback with contracted providers.

  • Identifies and resolves problematic areas of concern and/or provides recommendations to resolve these issues. Advises higher level of management on problems and policies related to these programmatic and operations issues.

  • Coordinates and communicates with Office of Prevention Services management and stakeholders on concerns related to delinquency prevention. Assists, when necessary, in carrying out duties and responsibilities of other Prevention Services activities.

  • Ensures timely reporting of major concerns and deficiencies. Drafts quarterly and monthly reports and submit on a timely basis. Evaluates data from outcome measures and requirements and make recommendations to management. Conducts annual property inventory.

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

  • Two (2) years of related experience.  A combination of education and experience may substitute for the required experience.

  • A valid Driver License.
