State Street Global Advisors: Internship Program - International Product & European Funds Management Support, (12 months Rotational Internship)
State Street Global Advisors (“SSGA”) manages and is a promoter of around 350 European funds in multiple domiciles (Luxembourg, UK, Ireland and France). The European Funds Management team is responsible for handling all processes related to the day to day running of the funds and fund governance; including cross border registrations, coordination of board meetings and offering documents (prospectus, KIIDs, KIDs) and oversight of core service providers. We also oversee the fund financial statement preparation process and audits thereof.
As an intern working across the European Funds Management and International Product Teams, you will work closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders across the full Product and Funds Management ecosystem and lifecycle covering research and innovation to product development, working with registrations and service provider oversight. Your scope of responsibilities will be to support the respective teams execute on day to day tasks aligned to the firm’s strategic initiatives including supporting the development, launch, register and listing of new European funds, oversee and maintain existing country and tax registrations across different jurisdictions, with particular focus on the post Brexit Overseas Fund Regime requirements as well as support all aspects of the market/sub-custody account opening and oversight of service providers process.

About the Opportunity:
As a part of the team,– the Intern will be responsible for:

Develop, support and execute on SSGA’s EMEA product roadmap and provide insights to the global product roadmap, including in relation to sustainable investing.

Assist the team on product strategy, developing business cases, product design features and supporting Fund and ETF launches. Work cross-functionally to develop and position the firm's EMEA product range.

Assisting in managing and maintaining new and existing cross border registrations and tax reporting status of all SSGA European Funds, according to regulatory and business requirements.

Supporting the Overseas Fund Regime process for registrations of SSGA funds distributed in the UK.

Assisting in completion of the market/sub-custody account opening documentation.

You will contribute to business initiatives as part of the wider European Funds Management team.

You will support the Service Provider Oversight Manager and dedicated Product Managers with day-to-day tasks and projects related to SSGA Funds.
Qualifications:

Working towards a Bachelor's/Master's degree in an economic subject (e.g. Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Databases or similar).

Strong Microsoft Office Packages skills.

Excellent oral and written interpersonal skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation.

Willingness to learn, “can do” attitude and focus on efficiency.

Ability to work successfully in a self-motivated environment.
