We are seeking an experienced State Director Queensland to lead our sales and organisation across the state and drive the next phase of growth in one of Australia’s most dynamic and fastest advancing markets. 

This senior leadership role is responsible for developing and executing the Queensland go-to-market strategy, building a high-performing sales team and culture, and delivering commercial outcomes.  

You will lead a diverse team of sales professionals, solution architects and specialists, empowering them to win new business, deepen customer relationships and consistently exceed growth targets.

The Opportunity 

The successful applicant will own the sales strategy and performance for the state. They will be responsible for building a strong pipeline of opportunities, strengthening partnerships and ensuring exceptional customer outcomes. 

Working closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams across marketing, product, delivery and operations, it will ensure our solutions align with customer needs while driving sustainable growth. 

This role combines strategic leadership, operational management and customer engagement, making it ideal for a commercially driven leader who enjoys both building strategy and leading from the front. 

What You’ll Be Responsible For 

  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing sales team 
  • Set clear performance expectations and support career growth for team members 

  • Build capability across the team through coaching, mentoring and structured development 

  • Develop and execute the QLD sales strategy aligned to national objectives 

  • Identify and pursue strategic customers and market opportunities 

  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline to consistently achieve revenue targets 

  • Lead forecasting, pipeline management and CRM discipline (Salesforce) 

  • Oversee bid and pursuit strategies for large opportunities 

    • Collaborate with product, delivery, marketing and commercial teams to win and deliver solutions 
  • Provide regular performance reporting and insights to executive leadership

About You

     

    You are a proven telecommunications sales leader with deep technical expertise and a and strong track record of building teams and delivering consistent revenue growth. 

    You bring both strategic thinking and commercial discipline, along with the leadership presence to influence internally and externally. 

    Key Experience 
    • 5+ years leading sales teams within telecommunications, technology or IT services 

    • Experience winning and managing mid-market to enterprise telecommunications clients 

    • Demonstrated success delivering revenue growth through team leadership 

    • Technical proficiency and expertise  

    • Strong commercial negotiation and complex deal management skills 

    • Experience managing forecasting, pipeline and CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce)
