In this role, you’ll be the bridge between our business and state governments—building relationships, advocating for smart energy policy, and helping position Hitachi Energy as a trusted partner in the transition to a more resilient and sustainable grid. You’ll work closely with executive leadership, regional business units, and community stakeholders to ensure our voice is heard where it matters most.

⚡ How You’ll Make an Impact- Represent Hitachi Energy with state and local governments to drive energy and manufacturing policy.
- Lead engagement in key states, including site visits and local advocacy efforts.
- Collaborate with community managers on regional events and initiatives.
- Develop messaging materials and secure thought leadership opportunities.
- Advance grid, AI/data center, and manufacturing policy with state officials.
- Build strategic relationships with governors, legislators, and trade associations.
- Monitor and analyze state regulatory developments.
- Support cross-functional teams with policy insights and recommendations.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5–8 years of experience in state government relations or consultancy.
- Proven success in Southeastern U.S. policy engagement.
- Experience with grid and manufacturing policy.
- Skilled in policy research and regulatory analysis.
- Strong stakeholder collaboration and communication skills.
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States

Salary Range for DC / VA $125-170k (+ Annual Bonus /AIP) pending experience and qualifications.
