We are looking for an Inception Partner Manager covering Japan to join NVIDIA Inception - a virtual accelerator that supports startups harnessing NVIDIA solutions for AI, data science, visual computing, and more, across various leading industries such as Generative AI, Deep Learning, AI/ML application development, Data Science, and Metaverse/3D design. This specialized technical business development role suits someone passionate about building partnerships with startups and helping them grow on NVIDIA platforms. In this position you will be responsible for developing the ecosystem while recruiting and nurturing some of the most exciting startups in Japan. This person will report to the Head of NVIDIA Startups Inception Program (APAC) and will work closely with a sizable cross-functional team within NVIDIA, including Developer Relations, Solutions Architects, Product Management, Sales and Marketing.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Identify, engage, and recruit the most relevant and promising startups in Japan for the NVIDIA Inception program.

  • Share Japan ecosystem trends and opportunities with the wider organization and involve key collaborators vital for success as one team.

  • Be the voice of NVIDIA Inception members and become a specialist in their needs and motivations. Develop a deep understanding of their goals, strategies, technical and business needs.

  • Establish relationships and influence technical business leaders (i.e., CTO/Engineering Head/Data Science Head) within the startup community, addressing their development needs.

  • Evangelize NVIDIA’s portfolio of technologies and accelerate its adoption among developers by helping technical business leaders understand the value of our hardware products, software products, and SDKs.

  • Collaborate directly with the VC ecosystem in Japan, assisting their portfolio companies individually. Recruit key VCs to join the NVIDIA VC Alliance Program.

  • Support sell-to and sell-with activities in alignment with NVIDIA sales, channel partners, startups, and end customers.

  • Route Japan’s most promising startups to our Startup business units and identify who those are programmatically at scale.

What We Need To See:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of working experience in related fields such as startup accelerators and incubators, executive or management positions at startups, platform ecosystem development at big technology companies, venture capital.

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.

  • A good technical understanding of NVIDIA products, platforms, libraries, software, etc., to effectively relate to technical business leaders.

  • Strong affinity for technology and technical subjects in AI, Deep Learning, Generative AI, and Data Science.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Personable, friendly, and enjoy interacting with lots of people across partners, internal teams, and startups.

  • Ability to be proactive and work with minimal direction, with good project management and excellent organizational skills.

  • Passion for ecosystem development and thriving in a dynamic environment with technical members.

  • Availability to travel domestically and internationally 10% of the time or less.

  • Fluency in English and Japanese are required. Needs to be physically based in Japan and hold a valid working visa.

Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd:

  • Have captured proven experience in Generative AI, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence application development.

  • Experience as a Technical Business Development or AI team member in the Japan local ecosystem with a good understanding of the local developer landscape.

  • Worked at a top startup accelerator or Cloud provider running, building, and managing the startup community and portfolio companies.

  • Validated capability to work in a collaborative, matrixed organization.

  • Passion for understanding and owning metrics and analytics and have a natural inclination to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of programs.
