We are looking for a Start‑Up and Automation Engineers to join our Start‑Up Team.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and assisting with the commissioning and system start-up of air-to-heat systems and hoods, working both in Italy and internationally.
You will play a key part in assisting customer technicians on-site, ensuring smooth execution, high‑quality standards, and compliance with safety requirements.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the commissioning and system start-up of air-to-heat systems and hoods both in Italy and abroad, ensuring full adherence to quality and safety standards are met.

  • Support customer technicians throughout the commissioning process, working either in pairs or autonomously depending on project needs.

  • Maintain direct and clear communication with customers, providing timely updates on progress and issues.

  • Travel frequently for on‑site installations (approximately 50% of the time, in non-consecutive periods).

  • Provide support in process optimization and troubleshooting of installed systems.

  • Collaborate with the Automation and Technical Office for design‑related support and troubleshooting.

Expectations for You:

  • Diploma in Mechatronic, Electromechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in similar roles, ideally in on site activities related to automation.

  • Fluent in Italian and English.

  • Experience in electromechanical installations and air-to-heat systems.

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the working time.

We offer a gross base salary ranging from €34,000 to €46,000 per year.

The selected candidate will be hired under the National Collective Agreement (CCNL) applied by Valmet Italy for Employees of the Metalworking Industry and Plant Installation Sector (Addetti all’Industria Metalmeccanica e dell’Installazione di Impianti).

Skills Required
