Job Description
- To provide the unique stargazing experience with extensive knowledge of stars, constellations, and astronomy.
- To provide the observation experience of the night sky with a telescope to see planet, star, and dark sky objects, including provide space virtual reality experiences with VR headsets.
- Team member are well-trained to handle the observatory and provide the most accurate and the most updated information about the night sky.
- Features astronomical phenomena such as meteor showers and more to spark interest and create a memorable experience for guests.
- Ensure that astronomy sessions are curated to suit the interests and understanding of the audience for smooth functioning.
- Develop activities and experiences according to each season and situation to provide the best possible experience.
- Team Members should demonstrate passion and capability all the time, during the session.
- To anticipate guest needs, and handle guest inquiries in a helpful and attentive Anantara manner.
- After concluding every session, Team Members should ask for feedback from the guest. He or she should create a very professional environment where guest could openly talk about their suggestions and feedback.
- To be proactive and innovative, suggesting alternatives that meet guest needs in enjoying their Anantara experience.
- The equipment and accessories should be maintained properly after operating and should be brought back without loss.
- To have a complete knowledge of the hotel product, including room types, relative features and facilities, food and beverage outlets and promotions, spa and health club, and other Anantara properties.
Qualifications
- A strong passion for astronomy and a deep knowledge of celestial objects, constellations, and night sky phenomena.
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills in English language.
- Previous experience as a stargazing guide or similar role is required.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends, as stargazing take place during night time hours.
- Customer-oriented attitude with a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences.
- Physically able to set up and transport equipment, including telescopes.
- A friendly and approachable manner.
- Time management.
Additional Information
- Familiarity with Thai cultural practices and nuances to enhance service quality and guest experiences.
- Experience in the hospitality or service industry, preferably with exposure to Thai.
