The ideal candidate is an experienced journalist who can write with rigor, depth, and clarity on a range of subjects and has a demonstrated ability to produce work that is not only timely but also enduring.
Responsibilities
Report and write features, essays, commentary, and analysis.
Pitch original story ideas and respond to editorial assignments.
Collaborate with newsletter, social media, video, and other digital teams.
Collaborate with editors throughout the editorial process, from story development to publication.
Work closely with copy editors, fact-checkers, legal counsel, and production staff to meet deadlines and rigorous standards.
Maintain high ethical standards in reporting and writing.
Skills & Qualifications
A track record of exceptional writing across the different platforms
Demonstrated experience with in-depth reporting, narrative writing, and ideas-driven essays.
An ability to write with originality, clarity, and precision.
Comfort working independently, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
Willingness to travel for reporting and respond to news events as necessary.
