Responsibilities 

Personality  

• You love to run and understand the performance aspects of athletic footwear; You must be able to understand, describe and differentiate running shoes. 
• You love doing research and comparing products. You typically spend weeks researching before buying something. 
• You like helping people. The whole purpose of our website is to help people find the best product for them.  
• Keep up to date with the market news, discussions and opinions surrounding running shoes and equipment 

This position might NOT be for you if: 

• You spend a lot of time running, but don't spend much time thinking about the technical side of shoes.
• You have really strong loyalty to one or two brands and only run in their shoes. We review objectively most brands and require good market knowledge.
• You think that your own shoes needs are universal. We help millions of people with various needs.
• You are only interested in data. Our goal is to help people.
• You're looking for a platform to share your opinions about running shoes. We work collaboratively as a team to provide data-driven reviews
  

Qualification/Experience  

• Strong English communication & writing skills
• Ability to write and adapt content for multiple intended audiences
• Strong analytical skills 
• Fast learner 
• Previous experience writing product reviews and/or working in retail/sales is a bonus  

• Less than two years of professional and writing experience  
• You are a runner
• You are familiar with the running shoe market  
• You are interested in learning how to write for different intended audiences and grow into Writer Level II  

• More than two years of professional writing experience  
• Deep interest and technical understanding of running shoes and their material 
• You participate in various hobbyist communities like subreddits and Discord channels related to running and running gear

Senior 
There is also a potential career path in management after Writer II, becoming a Team Lead, which is a different role that we hiring for. 
Salary range: $80-105k 

• You are a recognized voice in running communities. 
• You have a deep technical understanding about different shoe design and their related running intent. 
• You have a significant shoe rotation  
• You have written shoe reviews in the past  
• You have leadership/management experience
