Here at Scout Motors, we're carrying forward the heritage of one of the most iconic American vehicles in history. A vehicle dating back to 1960. One that forged the path for future generations of rugged SUVs and trucks and will do so once again.
But Scout is more than just a brand, it’s a legacy steeped in a culture of exploration, caretaking, and hard work.
The Scout brand is all about respect. Respect for the past and the future by taking an iconic American brand that hasn’t been around for a while, electrifying it, digitizing it, and loading it with American innovation. Respect for communities by creating a company that stands for its people and its customers. Respect for both work and play, with vehicles that are equally at home at a camp site, a job site, or on a Tuesday commute. And respect for our customers by developing two powertrains that meet their requirements — an all-electric powertrain as well as the Harvester™ range extender powertrain which includes a built-in gas-powered generator with an estimated 500 miles of combined range.
At Scout Motors, we empower our talented, inclusive, and entrepreneurial teams to innovate. What makes a Scout employee? Someone who is a visionary and a leader, who seeks new paths and shares lessons learned. A knowledgeable doer who collaborates across the company to build better. A go-getter with unrivaled passion.

Join an iconic brand set to redefine the pick-up truck and rugged SUV marketplace. As a Staff Technical Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Scout’s consumer facing digital product experiences. This high-visibility, strategic, and technical role bridges engineering, product management, design, and business strategy. You will help design, build, and launch the digital “front doors” to Scout—spanning mobile, web, and retail touchpoints. Outstanding design instincts, technical fluency, and meticulous attention to detail are essential.
This role will focus on our web and mobile e-commerce experiences. Specifically, our web-based vehicle configurator and mobile checkout experience.
Every dollar of revenue Scout generates will transact through these products. Thus, we are seeking a highly experienced, motivated Product Lead with the skills, desire, and agency to make an impact from day one.
What you’ll doBecome part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

Specifically, you will help design, build, and ship Scout’s first vehicle configurator and checkout experience. You will support our direct-to-consumer sales and delivery model with world-class digital UX, ensuring alignment with overarching business goals. Given Scout's nascency, you should be extremely comfortable navigating ambiguity in early-stage startups to formulate concrete, actionable plans.
- Build for humans: Act as a customer advocate, crafting experiences that enhance the vehicle buying process and differentiate Scout in the marketplace. Be disagreeable and don't accept anything less than a class-defining experience for customers.
- Be ridiculously collaborative: Partner with cross-functional teams, including Design, R&D, software engineering, and operations, to design and deliver innovative digital products. Be ready to drive alignment with many competing stakeholders. This is a team sport, and we need team players.
- Manage (a lot of )relationships: Act as a trusted advisor to internal and external partners, presenting solutions that align with broader business goals. Be a natural relationship builder and clear communicator.
- Operationalize products: Oversee the roll-out of technical solutions to the marketplace, ensuring performance, reliability and consumer adoption achieve agreed upon outcomes.
- Drive technical excellence: Build relationships with software engineering to ensure scalable, efficient, and secure delivery. Leverage expertise in system architecture, APIs, and data integration to support technical decisions.
- Measure success: Define KPIs and success metrics to track product and platform performance, using data to refine and improve over time.
