Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector is searching for a Staff Systems Engineer to join our System Infrastructure Team located in Melbourne, FL as a Cloud Architect.

The Systems Architect is responsible for designing and managing the Cloud infrastructure. Duties include ensuring the cloud architecture meets program requirements, coordinating architecture decisions with hardware and test teams, creating and managing the development backlog for cloud-related software development, deploying product updates, setting up software factory, virtual machines, containers, and orchestration. This role will have a large impact on team productivity and as such requires an understanding of the software development lifecycle and various automation tools for developing digital pipelines (CI/CD pipelines).
This position requires work full-time, on-site at our facility. There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor of science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 12-years of experience OR a Master of science degree in a STEM discipline and 10-years of experience OR a PhD degree in a STEM discipline and 8-years of experience.
• Must have an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
• Experience with Cloud Computing and Hybrid On-Prem Solutions
• Experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code tool
• Experience with Docker or similar container technology
• Experience setting up or administering a small to medium sized Kubernetes cluster
• Experience with Kubernetes Service Mesh or similar service mesh technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
• Any Cloud Service Provider Certification (e.g. AZ-900, AZ-104, AWS Cloud Practitioner, etc)
• Security+ Certification
• Terraform Associate Certification
• Vault Associate Certification
Primary Level Salary Range: $152,900.00 - $229,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
