Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer - Cybersecurity Project Lead to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in our Systems Engineering organization in San Diego, CA.
In this role, success will come form being a self-starter with familiarity working in an Integrated Product Team construct and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
Roles and Responsibilities will include:
- Provide execution leadership, tasking and direction to a team of Cybersecurity Engineers.
- Lead the development of Cybersecurity design solutions and artifacts.
- Coordinating reviews and approvals of Cybersecurity development and implementation plans, design guides, processes, and procedures.
- Develop Cybersecurity requirements and verification plans
- Review test procedures and analyze test results for compliance with Cybersecurity requirements and verification plans.
- Instruct, mentor and champion agile concepts and processes
This position requires full-time, on-site work at our facility. There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position. Travel up to 10% may be required.
Basic Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelors of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) field and at least 12 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a Master of Science Degree in a STEM field and at least 10 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a PhD and at least 8 years of relevant military / professional experience
- Must have experience supporting Systems Engineering Milestones SRR, PDR and CDR.
- Must have experience in full lifecycle of Systems Engineering, including requirements decomposition, test planning, requirements verification and requirements management.
- Must have an active US Government Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
- Must have experience leading an engineering team or project from concept to design to implementation
- Must have experience as Control Account Managers and baselining of contracts
- Must have experience with requirement decomposition and traceability from System to Unit/Supplier Specifications.
- Must have experience with implementation and deployment of capabilities and tracking of configurations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active US Government Top Secret SCI clearance (with a background investigation within the past 5 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
- Current applicable Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
- Excellent communication skills

- Agile project management (manage & prioritize workflow)
