Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.
We make sure Micron DRAM performs where it matters most: inside next-generation servers, client systems, and emerging compute platforms. Our team works at the intersection of memory technology, silicon behavior, platform architecture, firmware interaction, and system-level validation. We partner across engineering fields to bring new memory products from initial platform bring-up through qualification and readiness, helping develop the future of computing.
In this role, you will validate Micron DRAM products on cutting-edge compute platforms and play a key role in ensuring system readiness before customer deployment. You will lead complex debug efforts, collaborate with internal teams and external platform partners, and use data-driven analysis to solve challenging technical issues. This hands-on position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working in the lab, uncovering root causes, and driving issues through resolution.
Responsibilities:
- Lead platform bring-up and system debug across server, client, and emerging compute platforms, including BIOS, firmware, memory training, and system stability
- Develop and implement memory validation plans to assess performance, compatibility, reliability, and platform readiness
- Drive failure analysis and root cause investigations, documenting findings, corrective actions, and readiness risks
- Partner with engineering, product, quality, and program teams to resolve technical issues and support product readiness
- Leverage automation, scripting, data analysis, and AI-assisted workflows to improve validation efficiency and coverage
- Align internal teams and external platform partners on priorities, debug status, risks, and corrective actions
- Present validation results and technical findings to engineering, program, and customer-facing partners
- Perform hands-on lab validation using hardware platforms, diagnostic tools, and structured debug methodologies
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience in hardware validation, system test, platform bring-up, firmware validation, semiconductor engineering, or a related role
- Strong understanding of system architecture, processors, memory subsystems, firmware interaction, operating systems, and platform validation
- Hands-on experience with hardware debug, diagnostic tools, issue tracking, and maintaining user documentation
- Experience with scripting or programming for automation and data analysis, such as Python, C, C++, C#, or SQL
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with DRAM, memory modules, memory controllers, BIOS interaction, or memory subsystem validation
- Experience validating Intel, AMD, ARM-based, or embedded platforms in Linux, Windows, or UEFI environments
- Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, power measurement equipment, or similar diagnostic tools
- Experience applying AI tools to improve automation, data analysis, documentation, or engineering workflows
- Proven ability to lead complex debug efforts, drive technical resolution, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
