At Twelve Labs, we are pioneering the development of cutting-edge multimodal foundation models that have the ability to comprehend videos just like humans do. Our models have redefined the standards in video-language modeling, empowering us with more intuitive and far-reaching capabilities, and fundamentally transforming the way we interact with and analyze various forms of media.
With a remarkable $107 million in Seed and Series A funding, our company is backed by top-tier venture capital firms such as NVIDIA’s NVentures, NEA, Radical Ventures, and Index Ventures, and prominent AI visionaries and founders such as Fei-Fei Li, Silvio Savarese, Alexandr Wang and more. Headquartered in San Francisco, with an influential APAC presence in Seoul, our global footprint underscores our commitment to driving worldwide innovation.
We are a global company that values the uniqueness of each person’s journey. It is the differences in our cultural, educational, and life experiences that allow us to constantly challenge the status quo. We are looking for individuals who are motivated by our mission and eager to make an impact as we push the bounds of technology to transform the world. Join us as we revolutionize video understanding and multimodal AI.
About the RoleThis position will require an active US Department of Defense or Intelligence Community TS/SCI clearance.
We're seeking an exceptional Solutions Engineer to directly support US public sector customers. In this role, you'll be the human bridge between TwelveLabs' powerful video understanding platform and mission-critical government operations.
You won't be a consultant who shows up with a pitch deck. You'll be a technical owner who ships production solutions, someone who can understand an agency's workflow on Monday, architect a solution using our video AI models by Wednesday, and have a working prototype deployed by Friday.
This role combines the autonomy of a startup engineer with the impact of supporting critical government missions. You'll work in small, agile teams and own end-to-end execution of high-stakes projects that directly serve the public good.
Candidates must be able to travel up to 10% of the time annually to attend conferences, off-site meetings, and other business-related events as required by the role. This role may require participation in on-site interviews and/or completion of in-person onboarding processes.
In this role, you willDeploy Video Understanding Solutions in Government EnvironmentsEmbed directly with federal, state, and local government customers to understand their video analysis workflows, pain points, and operational requirements
Design and implement video understanding solutions using TwelveLabs' platform (semantic search, scene detection, object tracking, activity recognition, summarization) on government networks
Deploy our multimodal AI models in AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, FedRAMP environments, classified networks, and on-premises secure facilities
Build custom pipelines integrating TwelveLabs APIs with government systems like Palantir Foundry, Salesforce, SharePoint, and agency-specific platforms
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for your assigned customers—you own their success
Rapidly prototype solutions using real customer data and operational requirements
Translate mission needs into technical implementations, whether that's building video search interfaces, automated monitoring workflows, or content analysis systems
Troubleshoot complex production issues in secure environments and maintain high system availability
Manage engagement post deployment in air-gapped networks, classified systems, and secure facilities
Prepare and deliver security documentation for ATOs (Authority to Operate), CTFs (Certification to Field), and RMF compliance
Work within NIST, FedRAMP, FISMA, and federal security frameworks
Interface with government security teams, ISSOs, and AOs to ensure compliant deployments
Bring field learnings back to product and engineering teams to shape the roadmap
Identify patterns across customer deployments that can be productized into platform features

Experience with GitOps, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), or CI/CD in secure environments
Previous work with Palantir Foundry, Elasticsearch, or government data platforms
Knowledge of video codecs, streaming protocols, and large-scale media processing
