Why Sony Interactive Entertainment?

Sony Interactive Entertainment isn’t just the Best Place to Play — it’s also the Best Place to Work. Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is the company behind the PlayStation brand. As a subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation, we’re part of a proud legacy of innovation and excellence. SIE is a dynamic technology company, delivering cutting-edge hardware and network services to more than 100 million people and an entertainment leader, home to some of the most beloved and recognizable intellectual properties (IP) in the world. Our role at SIE is to create and nurture the experiences under the PlayStation brand, a name synonymous with entertainment excellence and creativity.

Department overview:

The Senior Solutions Architect shapes the technical approach for moving employee technology support from reactive response toward predictive detection, safe self-healing, and higher value enablement. The role turns service needs into cross-platform architecture, reusable patterns, and clear implementation guidance. Working with engineering, operations, platform, security, and architecture partners, this individual makes technical tradeoffs visible and helps teams deliver solutions that can be operated and improved over time.

What you’ll be doing:

Architecture and technical direction

  • Lead technical discovery for complex, cross-platform employee technology opportunities and define target architectures, integration patterns, and implementation options.
  • Design the flow from service and endpoint signals through detection, diagnosis, approved remediation, escalation, and outcome recording.
  • Set reusable standards for APIs, identity, data handling, observability, testing, rollback, and operational ownership in automation solutions.
  • Assess build versus buy options and emerging AI capabilities against employee value, technical feasibility, security, and supportability.

Platform architecture and integration

  • Define how ServiceNow, Moveworks, Jira, Slack, Nexthink, Jamf, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Graph, and related services exchange signals, context, actions, and outcomes where those platforms are in scope.
  • Create reference patterns for API integration, event handling, identity and access, data minimization, workflow orchestration, and reuse across employee technology services.
  • Partner with platform owners to align solution designs with enterprise architecture, security, privacy, and operational standards; identify dependencies and ownership before delivery.
  • Guide designs that combine endpoint telemetry, service history, and employee context without assuming that a signal alone proves an issue or that automation always warrants an action.

Predictive support and AI

  • Design a portfolio of use cases spanning proactive detection, guided self service, assisted support, and controlled self healing, with criteria for choosing the appropriate response.
  • Define safeguards for AI assisted workflows, including source quality, evaluation, human review where needed, auditability, and paths for uncertain or failed outcomes.
  • Establish measurement approaches with service owners that separate automation execution, resolution, employee impact, and any verified change in support demand.
  • Evaluate new technology through focused proofs of concept and recommend where it should be adopted, improved, or deferred.

Technical engineering

  • Design or review advanced Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, and API based components when architectural risk or reuse warrants direct involvement.
  • Set expectations for code quality, version control, testing, performance, resilience, and documentation across automation solutions.

Engineering leadership and partnership

  • Review high-impact solution designs and resolve architectural tradeoffs with platform owners, security partners, and delivery teams.
  • Provide reference designs, decision records, and guidance that engineering teams can use in delivery.
  • Prototype selected high-risk elements to validate feasibility and guide production implementation of critical integrations.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute technical input to the employee technology roadmap.

What we are looking for:

Required

  • Significant experience designing and delivering enterprise integrations or automation across multiple teams and platforms.
  • Evidence of making sound architecture decisions and guiding solutions from concept through production operation.
  • Strong knowledge of APIs, scripting or software engineering, security controls, reliability, and operational design.
  • Ability to explain technical tradeoffs and work effectively with engineering, operations, platform, and business stakeholders.
  • Degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience developing reference architectures and guiding multi-platform engineering without formal line management authority.
  • Ability to assess AI enabled automation for safety, quality, maintainability, and measurable service value.

Preferred

  • Digital workplace and service platforms such as ServiceNow, Nexthink, Moveworks, Jamf, Intune, Microsoft 365, Jira, or Slack.
  • AI assisted service workflows, cloud services, and enterprise architecture methods.

Benefits:

  • Discretionary bonus opportunity
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Dental Scheme
  • 25 days holiday per year
  • On Site Gym
  • Subsidised Café
  • Free soft drinks
  • On site bar
