We are currently seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to lead an Agile software development team focused on enhancing the PingOne End-User experience. In this role, you will serve as both an Individual Contributor to the team and its lead engineer, advocating for the team's needs and ensuring adherence to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Your responsibilities will include guiding the team to deliver high-quality results on time, making technical decisions on behalf of the team, and facilitating communication with key stakeholders. You will:

  • Report to the PingOne Admin Experience Manager.
  • Play the role of an Individual Contributor as well as a tech lead in the team.
  • Help with ensuring that the team follows the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices.
  • Lead the architecture designs for the team initiatives.
  • Collaborate with product managers and UX designers in clarifying initiatives’ requirements and mock designs.
  • Facilitate communication with other engineering teams to address dependencies and resolve blockers affecting the teams' initiatives.

You have:

  • At least 9 years of experience as a backend SDE.
  • At least 5 years of experience in developing SaaS applications.
  • Proficient in developing with Java FW.
  • Extensive experience in developing test automation, including unit tests, and integration tests
  • Good understanding of Agile methodologies. Vast experience in utilizing DevOps practices as part of the development process.
  • Understanding of DevOps principles to streamline development, testing, and deployment processes, and ensure continuous integration and delivery.
  • Experience with analysing product requirements and designing software architecture.
  • Experience with coaching and mentoring lower-level software engineers.

You have an advantage if:

  • You have experience with front-end development (particularly with React Redux ).
  • You have experience with some of the following technologies: Spring Boot, Kafka, Cassandra.
  • You have experience with AWS technologies.
  • You have past experience with leading teams.
  • You have experience working with offshore teams.
