As Staff Software Engineer, develop software on the engineering team, promoting the creation of elegant, practical solutions to meet company’s business goals. Analyze system specifications and translate system requirements to task specifications for team members Develop distributed systems for large-scale, cloud-based applications, ensuring reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance. Design and maintain reusable components and design systems, streamlining front-end development for a more consistent user experience across products. Build and maintain an immaculate front end and help ensure the rest of the organization adheres to that level of attention to detail in front end execution. Translate the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code to produce visual elements of the application. Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers and with software engineers to bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides. Using latest features of JavaScript in ES6 and ES7, and using tools and libraries like React, Flutter to be responsible for hands-on front end software development work, building a first-class and tightly functioning front end; serving as local expert for front-end technologies in our organization, evangelizing best practices and mentoring other engineers to foster continuous improvement in UI development at Sureify; collaborating closely with our Design Team and serve as a bridge and unifying force between designers and engineers. This position includes 100% work from home benefits from anywhere in the United States, and reporting virtually to corporate HQ in San Jose, California.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related (or foreign degree equivalent).

7 years in job offered OR 7 years as Software Engineer or Technical Architect which includes experience in: Leading 10+ person team of Frontend developers across multiple different products/projects. Leading development for life insurance products. Architecting and developing scalable, modular, secure and performant web applications. Providing technical mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers. Building reusable, scalable and responsive web applications with emphasis on UI/UX and WCAG. Set up, configure and implement Google Analytics (GA) and Google Tag Manager (GTM) across multiple different projects. Web Development to manage and develop web applications using various technologies such as ReactJS, JavaScript, JQuery, MS SQL SERVER and .NET Framework. Using SSRS(SQL Server Reporting Services) to generate various reports with various different requirements and categories. Real-Time exposure and understanding the concepts of SDLC and Agile.
PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES: JavaScript, TypeScript, C, C++, Java, Python. FRONT END DEVELOPMENT: ReactJS, Redux and RTK Query, HTML5 and CSS3, Material UI, Styled Components, Storybook, React Native, PWA. BACK-END & DATABASES: NodeJS, Express, Firebase, MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL. CLOUD & OTHER: AWS EC2, S3, Cognito, AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Google Analytics, GTM, Docker, Kubernetes.
