At Micron, we transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.  The pace is fast, collaboration occurs on a regular basis, and innovation is expected.  As a Senior Software Engineer within the Non-Volatile Engineering (NVEG) Product Engineer team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining data analytics and visualization tools, software applications, and reporting dashboards to support team efficiency. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of both front-end and back-end programming languages, development frameworks, and third-party libraries, along with a strong sense of visual design and functionality. You will oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from initial concept to final deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop applications using Python for tester platforms and write unit tests for the software applications to ensure functionality and performance.
• Develop web applications using Python, React JS and microservices with Flask.
• Build data analysis, data crunching and reporting tools to support engineering experiments.
• Drive the adoption of automation tools and practices to enhance testing efficiency and coverage
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Test Engineering & System Integration, ASIC, FW, Product Engineering and operations, to integrate the applications with the existing systems and to brainstorm software/AI/ML solutions.
• Routinely communicate overall project status to leadership and cross functional product team
• Provide guidance through debug and resolution of product related issues

Qualifications:

Successful candidates for this exciting opportunity will have:

• 5 to 10 years of strong hands-on experience in object-oriented application development and/or web application development using Python, ReactJS, and SQL.
• Proficiency in software development life cycle (SDLC) including requirements analysis, design, code development, code integration, testing, and deployment.
• Expertise in full life cycle application development and good experience in unit testing.
• Good working experience in DevOps environment with tools such as Docker, Git, Jenkins.
• Experience with data preprocessing libraries such as numpy, pandas etc.
• Familiar working on Unix/Linux terminal.
• Experience working with PyQt5 is a plus.
• Excellent data analysis, problem solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently in a very fast paced environment and adapt to change

Education:

• Position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical or Electronics.
• Course work in AI/ML, VLSI, semiconductor process is desirable, but not required.
