Role: Staff Software Engineer
Location: Bangalore-Manyata Tech Park (Hybrid)
Business & Team: BB Technology Digital partners with our BB Digital Domain to drive the transformation of Digital Experiences. Together we hold end-to-end accountability for the CommBiz Digital channel and the Business Banking experience in the CommBank App and Netbank.
Our goal is to transform our channels to be market leading , driving customer advocacy to achieve +30 NPS and increase commercial outcomes -supporting revenue uplift across all product lines and driving cost efficiencies in the delivery of Business Banking products.
Crusaders The team focus on exploring the opportunity within Commbiz to provide a digital onboarding capability for ETB and NTB Commbiz users.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Software Engineer with expertise in .NET, API development, React, system design, and AWS. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and architecture, and will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that meet our business needs.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Architect and Design: Lead the design and architecture of complex software systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Development: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in .NET and React. Develop robust APIs and integrate them with front-end applications.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the stability and reliability of our systems.
- Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and advocate for their adoption where appropriate.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for architecture, design, and implementation.
Essential Skills
- 13+ years experience and expertise in .NET, API development, React, system design, and AWS.
- Proficiency in React and front-end development.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
- Experience with AWS services and cloud architecture.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL).
- Knowledge on DHP (eg: ECS fargate , lambda, ALB)
- Understanding of network flows
- Strong understanding of system design
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Experience in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in leading large-scale projects and initiatives.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
