Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Staff Software Engineer to join our talented team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving technical excellence, leading and mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to the architecture and development of complex software systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of CDK customers and drive business growth.
Position Responsibilities & Essential function

Lead the cross-functional teams to design, development, and implement scalable software solutions.

Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.

Architect robust and scalable systems that can accommodate future growth and evolving business needs.

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and priorities.

Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality, performance, and security standards are met.

Champion engineering best practices, including Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.

Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, and evaluate their potential impact on our products and processes.

Drive innovation and process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency across the engineering organization.
Qualifications
-
B.S or M.S in Computer Science or related field.

8+ years of software development experience in building distributed Enterprise software

Proven track record of delivering complex, high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.

Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and data structures.

Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL solutions (MongoDB, Cassandra) or similar

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Familiarity with modern development tools and practices, including version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Preferred:

Previous experience in a leadership or technical leadership role.

Advanced degree or certifications in software engineering or related fields.

Experience with machine learning, artificial intelligence, or data analytics technologies.

Contributions to open-source projects or technical communities.
Compensation: $140,000 - $180,000
CDK Global is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Compensation packages are based on several factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, certifications, and work location.
